The staff was very welcoming and the quality of the Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner was amazing. We can also recommend the Katamaran tour in the lagoon. "I’m very sad to leave this review as the stay at the hotel was actually very nice and the location is spectacular BUT they double charged me and promised to pay me back but I have been trying to get my money back for a month now and they stopped replying my messages!! I’ve contacted Hotels.com also but the customer service has not been helpful. I’ve never had any issues like this and I’m deeply sad about how this hotel stole my money "

"This is quite frankly the nicest, most comfortable, and modern hotel I've ever stayed in here. It was BEAUTIFUL and serene, and spotless. This is a beachfront property and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The staff: Nirodha (manager) was very friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and the chef turned out delicious meals! Please stay here, I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed."

"We had a great 4 night stay at Ahu Bay. It was nice that Nilanga messaged ahead to discuss arrival time. Having a room right on the beach was a real treat and the private pool was kept spotless by the team. The team couldn’t do more for us during our stay, making adjustments to cocktails to suit ours tastes. We ate at hotel twice and both times really enjoyed the dishes we tried, it’s clear there’s a talented chef in the kitchen! "
