Routes and pathways were still open and available for visitors. During our visit, efforts for reconstruction of Kumamoto castle were under way as can be seen in the background of this photo. I was there earlier today & saw this from the Kumamoto City Hall observation deck. Many families who lost homes still seek help from the City Hall. Some parts of the foundations were damaged as well as roofs.
