We stayed in La Quinta for a long weekend and enjoyed the place for being very close to La Quinta downtown with lots of cute restaurants and shops. Also, the house was only a few blocks from a beautiful hiking trail along the mountains, great for walking the dog, or biking. The house was very spacious, clean and has a nice pool and hot tub (which was not heated but can be heated for a fee during winter time).

The house was clean and had plenty of space for our family. The pool was beautiful when it was clean. There were some mosquitoes probably from the standing water by the plants. Overall however I would say this is a perfect house for a getaway.

comfortable well equipped house

Nice place, clean. Adequate kitchen dishes, utensils, dishwasher pods. Check in was ok but hard to find the house number in the dark and slightly tricky to find the key lock box in the dark. Lighting of address on house would have been very helpful. The pool at this time of year was not useful and we declined to pay the exorbitant amount to heat the jacuzzi for 3 days. Difficult to get the tv working. instructions in the manual were not very helpful.

Little disappointed this time

3rd time there and had messaged them about 2 weeks straight to make sure pool and house was good after Hiliary Storm and was assured everything was ok and got there and the pool (I had been told by customer service was good) got there and it was very dirty

Pool can not be heated buyer be warned

I rented this house for the pool. I requested the pool be heated right away when I made the reservation and then at 6 weeks before I arrived and didn’t hear back either time. I contacted again one week before and received an email from Vacasa customer service with a heating charge specifically for the pool. Charged almost $500 for 6 nights. When we arrived the pool was not heated. When we contacted customer service, we were told that heating the pool wasn’t an option: Was told that this information was hidden in the details of the home notes. But the Vacasa email confirmed the heating was for the pool one week before and I was charged for it. so it was extremely disappointing to my kids who wanted to swim the entire week. House was fine but would not rent again due to the pool issue. Very bad customer service from Vacasa. They were like” sorry but not sorry “ even though they made the mistake. Would have cancelled the rental if I had known the pool was unusable. You pay a nightly fee based off of amenities. This house is priced higher because of the pool that you can’t use. I could have saved $100 a night renting a house without a pool and had the same experience. Disappointing to say the least.

A Little R&R

Great experience! We took a long weekend just to relax and this property did not disappoint! The house was very clean and well stocked with kitchen appliances, bedding and towels. The pool area was clean and the perfect spot to cool down and work on a tan! We will definitely come back!!

Family of 4, One week stay

Overall, property was very clean and comfortable. However, on day one the pool was not swim-ready. It had cloudy water; the kind of cloudy it gets when it’s very low on chlorine. But we immediately called Vacasa and they were able to send someone out the next day before Noon to clean. Great customer service, thank you. We enjoyed the large kitchen that was stocked with utensils, dishes, and kitchen appliances. There was both a Keurig and a coffee pot machine! We especially appreciated the linen cabinet with a bountiful supply of bathroom and pool towels, as well as bed linens. The house also provided a few floor tower fans which was nice. The 3 bedroom TVs have Roku for smart TV apps but the living room TV did not -only had cable. It was fine. It was nice to park our suburban in the garage! The house is very local to stores and the Living Desert Zoo. We definitely look forward to returning in the future. :-).

Hot Tub costs extra

Nowhere in booking the place did they mention a 10:00 curfew nor did it mention it costs an extra $73/night to use the hot tub. Never had this issue through VRBO buy you guys sent me to Vacasa who I'll never use again.

Great for family getaway

We enjoyed this property for a short family getaway. The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed (no food items). We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The yard and pool are small, but fine for the 4 of us. The kids enjoyed having a TV in each of the rooms they stayed in. We lounged by, and I will say there is a lot of street noise that would have bothered me if it were a retreat for my husband and I, but with teen girls it wasn’t a problem. We had dinner at the Cliffhouse and Okura Sushi.

Ehh. Overpriced stay, but stay was OK for what we needed

We stayed here with our 2-year-old and dog for the weekend while we were selling our house. The house was clean but outdated. I wouldn’t consider this a “modern home” as advertised in the listing. The TV is older, so you can’t log in to your own apps and watch your shows. It didn't have any extra amenities, which for the price of $251/night + fees, I was surprised. It had the basics, but if you're planning to eat meals at the house and you have more than 2 adults, bring your own dinnerware. There was a mismatch of cups and other items in the kitchen, but not all dinnerware and cooking items were available. A lot of places we’ve rented in the past have coffee pods and leave spices, cooking spray, etc. and they didn't have any of that, so we ended up buying a lot of items. The pool costs $72/night to heat and you can only have it turned on with 24 hours’ notice and if you are staying for a minimum of 3 nights, which is expensive. The pool is OK, but the photos make it look much nicer than it appears in person. We asked for an early check-in and late check-out because of our child's nap schedule and the timing for when we needed to be out of our house. The property wouldn't accommodate us under any circumstances. When I talked to one of the employees managing the property, she said she'd help us out. She got us an early check in (2pm instead of 4pm), but she never got back to us on check-out. When I called the office, the person I talked to was rude and told us we had to be out by 10:00am. Overall, I’d say our experience at the house was “meh.” If you’re not going to be hanging out the house much, it’ll get the job done. La Quinta is beautiful, and we had a fun time at the Living Desert and Zoo and exploring the area. The house was good for small dogs, as it has a doggy door and is completely fenced in. Our dog is big and couldn’t fit through the door, but still worked fine. There are no sidewalks in the neighborhood. I didn’t like walking in the evening without sidewalks, though luckily, the streets were not very busy.

Bad check in process

I made check in process by face time call two days before. I got to the house and I didn’t found the key. I call a number Vacasa send me by txt and they said I have to go to the office first (40 minute from the house ) I went and the office is not there. It says the office move. Call again and they even don’t know why the office is not there. They said to wait 15 minute there someone will call me. Someone call me and said she does not know why they txt and tell me on the phone to go to an office if I did the check in already. It was 6 pm and I supposed to get in at the property at 4 But they don’t comunícate each other. They told something on the phone and something different on txt and when you call . I won’t rent with Vacasa. They don’t know what that doing.

Spacious home

This is a lovely and spacious home! The back area with the pool is nice and cozy however the pool could use some cleaning . The water was cloudy ,had bugs and debris. Also the TV in the living room was a bit difficult to operate. Other than that this home and city is a must visit!!! Loved it!!
