“We had the most wonderful stay in Katie's Cottage. We met the lovely host Caroline on arrival and we couldn't have gotten a warmer welcome. There was fresh scones with jam and butter and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The house was absolutely immaculate with loads of fresh towels and bed linen. The beds were really comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The surrounding area is stunning and the cottage was a great base to explore all of this. “Our stay was unfortunately disappointing. Upon arrival, the walkway to the apartment was dirty, and there was a dead bird near the front door, which created a very unpleasant first impression. There was also a strong odor on the main level throughout our stay. The apartment itself could use some maintenance. The carpet was old and stained, and the insulation was poor, so outside noise was easily heard from inside. The TV was not working when we arrived and wasn’t fixed until the following……
