Hotel desatendido. Me dieron una habitación junto a otra que celebraban una fiesta de cumpleaños. Cuando pedí que me cambiaran a otra más tranquila no quisieron , dijeron que si me molestaban que ellos les llamarían la atención. Cuando los de la fiesta volvieron de la discoteca a las dos por supuesto me despertaron con ruido y música. Necesite avisar dos veces para que dejaran de hacer ruido No pude volver a dormirme y tenía que ir al aeropuerto a las cuatro de la mañana

Amazing place to stay! Everything was beautiful and the food was great

Our stay at Glencruitten House was lovely. However, for the price there are a few things that did not exactly meet expectations. First, upon arrival we were offered a welcome drink to enjoy in the sitting room, which was very nice. But there was no direction for what we should do after. We were not offered assistance with bags at check-in, so we went to fetch our own bags after we finished our drinks. When we lugged in our bags we were told “oh someone could have helped you with that”. It was noted that no one proceeded to help us from the lobby to our room. There was also zero acknowledgement that we were celebrating our first anniversary. Not that we expected anything free— just acknowledging it would have gone a long way in appearing invested in your guests and making them feel special. On the whole, customer service just kind of seemed to be a bit lackluster. Additionally, the house just seemed to have quite a bit of touch ups/repair work needed (door on electric heater in bedroom was broken, lots of chipped paint on the walls, streaky paint jobs on windows where a second coat was necessary, sloppy paint jobs where paint was on window glass and door trims). Nothing was “wrong” with our stay, per se. It’s just that staff interactions and the space itself could have been much more polished and refined. Our experience was more in line with a cheaper accommodation.

The room looks nice, and I think the location is good. However, the maintenance could definitely be better. There’s no elevator, and the fan really needs a good cleaning. There were also no instructions on how to use the Google controller, which I think is also the thermostat. After about two hours of going back and forth by email, they finally told me to use the panel on the boiler to adjust the room temperature. As someone from Thailand, I’m not used to dealing with a giant boiler connected to the radiator, so it would have been really helpful to have some clear instructions from the beginning. The cabinet under the TV also looks like it’s about to fall off the wall. They really wanted to fix that, but honestly, I would have preferred them to fix the radiator first. One night, the fire alarm went off, and on another night, I think it was a door alarm that kept going off for about five minutes. What made everything more frustrating was that all communication had to be done by email. It took a lot of back and forth just to sort out relatively simple issues. Overall, the room and location are nice, but the maintenance and communication could definitely be improved.
