The staff was friendly and polite. Our double room was small and clean. However, the bed (room 29) was the most uncomfortable we've ever slept in. It was very soft and we could feel the springs sticking into us. We ended trying to sleep on top of the duvet. We would have asked to be moved but had travelled all day to get to Newquay and were exhausted. When reporting this to Reception the next morning we were told that all the mattresses were new!

We enjoyed our harbour view room very much. There was always something going on around the harbour. it was quite a long way to the main Falmouth attractions so we ate mostly at the hotel . The food and drink at the hotel was quite pricey but perhaps on a par with other hotels in the area. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff were helpful . The surroundings were a bit drab and the outside space quite limited and close to the road. The hotel was in need of decoration in some areas. Overall we enjoyed our stay .

The rooms are really nice and the staff are friendly, but its let down by very poor staff training. The breakfast was a disaster, coffee machine broke, the buffet ran out of food and the wait staff were clueless. Lots of staff but they just didn't seem to know what to do in regard to clearing and laying tables. We were told the restaurant was fully booked for dinner but a quick look online showed lots of availability. Also the bar closes at 9pm so we did not get to try that out!!!

The only fault is the price of the rooms are expensive a deluxe room over looking flat utility area rooms and a car park was very disappointing. The bathroom is dated and small. The room was a good size however. I think youre paying for the sea view location from the front of the hotel.
