If you're ever in Nuremberg, this is the place to stay! Super convenient location just a couple of blocks from the train station. It's inside the old city walls and near one of the main gates and towers. Lots of atmosphere! The hotel itself is a historic stone building. My room was large (by German standards) and the feather bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was great, excellent food and service in a calm, dignified atmosphere. This is one of my favorite European hotels.

This was a most pleasant experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Their knowledge of English was wonderful. The hotel was clean and friendly looking. The restaurant offered home made food that was delicious. The location was good. It was in a suburb, close to buses and UBahn and SBahn. So we could ride into Nuremberg without having to look for a parking place. Because this is a country inn, it had no elevators, but the staff was very helpful in getting suitcases up to the room. The receptionist (male) seems to have a reputation for being aggressive and rude but we found him professional, rather than unfriendly. The hotel buildings are split and are on different levels with several dining areas and bars. Limited wine list but lots of beers, we had a reasonable meal although the venison was without flavor or texture. The bedroom and bathroom were fine and the free breakfast buffet was excellent with lovely staff. Free onsite parking was the final star in our rating!
