We made the trip to spend Thanksgiving with my mother who has been sick for a while. She was able to make the trip from SC for the day along with some of her grandchildren. She had a wonderful day and there was plenty of room the meal.

Our bakehouse experience
We had a wonderful stay at this lakehouse! They were on top of all accommodations (we made most of our meals at the house and had everything we needed) and communication with us. The kayaks were a fun bonus and we loved roasting marshmallows on the fire pit! Beds for comfortable. We had a 1.5 year old with us and it felt very safe and fun for her too!

Family Trip
We stayed here with my wife and son and her parents and brother and the had a great time. We really enjoyed the area and the house. It was definitely a good weekend. We did several things around the area and went kayaking on the lake as well. It was a great time by everyone in the family. We would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for letting us stay at this great house.

This place is exactly as described. We went for a couples getaway and it was absolutely perfect. Service was spotty but we didn't care. We ran into a minor issue with wifi and the host done everything to make it right and within minutes we had wifi. Fast wifi at that. The kitchen is fully stocked we cooked the entire time. We also used the grill and fire pit for smores.... This listing looks the exact same in person and we would definitely book again.

Disappointed and left 3 days early! OVER PRICED!
This property was NOT at all what was described and the lake photos were very deceiving! This house slept 10 BUT didn’t sit 10 at the dining table. Also the kitchen is NOT fully equipped. There were no cookie sheets or large platters to use for a large crowd for serving pieces. The thermostat setting wouldn’t go lower than 69 and it was an extremely hot week and the house just never seemed cool enough . We were miserably hot! The exterior of this house was disgusting and dirty. The deck was gross and the lake side of the house was filthy where we couldn’t take outdoor photos in the deck. But the worst part is that you have NO LAKE view at all unless you walk all the way down to the edge of the lake. The trees totally blocked any lake view from House. Would never recommend this Rental!

Perfect spot for a family week at the lake!
We had a wonderful time at this Lake Hartwell chalet. I always love gathering with my family and this location was the icing on the cake for gathering with 2 of my children and their families. The house was clean and neat. The check in process went smoothly. There was a good signage and instructions, with an easy check out. The house was well supplied with everything we needed. I appreciated that there were some basic spices and baking supplies and condiments. It was nice to be able to access the 1/2 cup of flour we needed rather than purchasing a 5# bag as we've had to to at other rentals. We loved the floor plan. There was ample space for all 10 of us. The basement alternated between providing a quiet place for three of the adult who had to work at least part of each day and a wonderful space for the five children to play. The door at the top of the stairs kept the toddler and baby safe and the noise separated by level. We knew there was a pack 'n play based on the listing and were grateful to also find a high chair. These items made our trip easier. This was a perfect location. It was a short drive off of I-85 and we surrounded by nature in minutes. Dill's Grocery was maybe 8 minutes away and we found everything we needed there. I'm disappointed we didn't have time to eat at 211 Main Street Restaurant. I've eaten @211mainstreetrestaurantandbakery before. Both the meal and the dessert were delicious! Be sure to eat a meal at this lunch-only location if you are in town. The WIFI kept up with three adults to what to work some during their stay. Several of the adults didn't have voice or text access on their phones, although coverage started again less than a mile down Gumlog Road, Highway 328. In some ways that was nice to just be able to focus on family. The owners of this property thought of everything to make the stay special, from a sharpie in the kitchen to write names on paper cups to the small flags lining their drive to make our July 4th festive. I highly recommend this property.

Peaceful Family Lake House
Nice home on a finger of Lake Hartwell, great for adults and children. Communication with the host was excellent, the home was clean and inviting, and the setting was peaceful. While the property does not have a dock, there is lake access and we were able to bring a rented pontoon to the shore of the property. Recommended for family getaways.

Spring Break
The property was just like the picture, very clean and super spacious. We were looking for a place to relax and get in touch with nature and this was definitely the place to come. Our kids enjoyed sleeping in the basement. Kitchen was equipped with all necessary utensils to prepare our meals. The only thing we wished it had was a dock so it would be easier to get in and out of the kayaks. Also, the house is located super close to Tugaloo State Park with great hiking trails, Lake Hartwell State Park in South Carolina with great views and hikes too. We will definitely be back again.
