Auberge Les 2 Moucherolles
Correncon-en-Vercors
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (9 reviews)
"Great location, but it’s important to understand the concept of an “auberge,” where check-in is only possible when the owners are present. We tried to check in twice but were unsuccessful. We arrived at 7 p.m. and were told we could not have dinner, even though two tables were already occupied. We then had to wait 15 minutes to check in. When we departed, no one was available to collect the key or serve us a coffee. Quite disappointing is August High Season."

"I emailed the hotel to let them know I would arrive very late in the night and they never acknowledged receipt, so it’s no surprise I had issues accessing the property. The “welcome email” I received before arrival listed a code for a customer portal that linked to a broken URL, but was actually for the property’s outer gate. Why not just call it a gate code instead of a portal access code? They also didn’t tell me where the button was to open the gate when exiting the property, so another...

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Le Monestier-Du-Percy?
The best time to visit Le Monestier-Du-Percy is during the shoulder seasons of spring (May to June) and autumn (September to October).

During these months, the weather is pleasantly mild, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking or exploring the local countryside without the intense heat of summer. You'll find the natural beauty of the Auvergne region, with its rolling hills and forests, particularly inviting. This period is superb for couples looking for a tranquil getaway, as the village and surrounding areas are less crowded than in peak summer.

Summer (July and August) also offers warm weather, which is great for enjoying the scenic outdoors and longer daylight hours. However, it's also the busiest time for tourism, so you might encounter more visitors. Families often appreciate the summer months for school holidays, allowing them to enjoy the region's natural attractions together, like picnicking by the Drôme River or visiting nearby natural parks.

Winter (November to April) can be quite cold, with the possibility of snow, which might limit outdoor activities.
