Located on the side of the Wenatchee River, River's Edge will have you spending your days listening to the sounds of flowing water and birds chirping. It is the ideal spot for hiking, river tubing, skiing, wine tasting, and much, much more! In the main room, you will find an open concept living area with comfortable seating around a wood fireplace. At the end of a long day, this is the perfect place to snuggle under a blanket next to a crackling fire reading a good book or playing a game of cribbage. Down the hallway is a private master bedroom with a queen size mattress. Upstairs in the newly remodeled loft, you will find another queen bed perfect for kids or a second couple. Please be cautious with the stairwell. A 3/4 bathroom with stall shower is centrally located to serve both upstairs and downstairs guests. All linens, sheets, and towels are provided. When it's time for dinner enjoy a home-cooked meal from our fully stocked kitchen with plenty of counter space to spread out. An antique stove sets off that rustic gourmet atmosphere. River's Edge offers a large, covered porch with propane BBQ for those outdoor feasts you were hoping to grill up. If romance is your plan, there is a small table to enjoy those intimate conversations over dinner for two. Families will be completely comfortable eating around our large dining room table with a fantastic view of the great outdoors. You can also try the local Mountain Springs Lodge just a short two-minute drive away. Wrap up your nature-filled day by sitting on a private patio watching the osprey soar and savoring a nice glass of wine while star gazing up above. You will feel right at home at River's Edge: an ideal spot for a romantic couple's retreat or memorable getaway with family and friends! Very clean and private property with fantastic romantic views. Having the river in the backyard made this the best time ever. Bed was really comfy as well....the setting is gorgeous. The property was just the right size for our vacation. Wonderful space for playing games, meals, and hot tubbing. I spent a few nights here with a couple of family members and one of my dogs. It was nice to dip my feet in the cool river right out back on a hot summer day. Having the river out back was wonderful. The view was breathtaking. The neighbors were quiet and barely noticeable. Fair warning that the ride to this location is a bit treacherous with all the curves of the mountain road. The only true complaint I have is that the water smelled and tasted awful. I would recommend bringing a couple of gallons of water for drinking. Everything was as described. Little fenced yard made things easy with the dogs. The river is beautiful and the sound of the water so relaxing. We had sun/rain/snow all in four days! It was perfect - rustic decor with modern amenities. The cabin sits right on the river with big windows to enjoy the views. There's a covered patio and fire pit, and a fantastic hot tub from which to watch the flowing river. The bed on the main level is very comfortable, and the rain shower is nice and hot. Some days we drove into Leavenworth for shopping and dining. Other days we stayed all day at the cabin. We loved the large, well lit dining table for puzzling and used the kitchen table for dining. Loved our stay at this nicely located cabin. Upper loft works well for teens and main floor was roomy enough... plus lovely view of the river. Easy to get to xc skiing trails. Property was clean and well-prepared. The river was right next to the cabin! Hot tub was clean and ready for use. Kitchen appliances were somewhat old, but in good repair and clean. The fenced yard was perfect for our dogs, but the low fence might be too low for bigger dogs that jump. We enjoyed our week's stay and will certainly consider returning in the future. Note that the cabin was pretty remote and was a 15 minute drive to the nearest store/gas and 40 minute drive to a larger town with multiple restaurants.
