However, the receptionist working during my check-in smelled badly of body odor and was quite disheveled in appearance. His hat and clothes looked like they hadn’t been laundered in weeks and his long sleeve shirt that he wore under his hotel polo was quite literally ripped to shreds. Not just holes, actual rips/shreds. I have nothing negative to say about his demeanor as he was polite enough but I do feel this was a failure on management’s part by not ensuring staff can cleanly represent the company. Additionally, our stay was made extremely uncomfortable when the fire alarms went off at 3:30 in the morning for no reason for a long time until the fire department could turn them off. This happened again that morning at 9:15 and then again at 9:50\. It’s so ridiculous it sounds like I’m making it up but I am unfortunately not. The hotel is spotless, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms are spacious yet cozy and very well designed for long term visits. AND it is next door to my favorite grocery store anywhere. As well as to the best fitness center I have used anywhere--available on a daily use basis! The breakfasts are excellent--not at all a typical motel "breakfast," but full breakfasts with eggs, bacon, oatmeal, fruit... As far as convenience. It was great now the cons the floor in the kitchen was sticky to walk across. We did not use the bathtub or the shower because it was dirty so we used to just cleaned up in the sink before we had to leave.
