Great place if you like a lake. We have been coming every summer for ten years. Near by towns have nice restaurants and shopping too. Beautiful pool on the property, canoes, kayak. They also have a pontoon boat that you pay $25 an hour and get chauffeured around. We do it every year it's a beautiful boat tour. There is also a good restaurants on the propery for dinner. The only complaint I have is what you are charged for the continental breakfast which consist of not much unless you like cereal that kids usually like, not a good variety of pastries (not even a variety) boiled eggs, one kind of oatmeal and a few varieties of granola bars. The staff is very friendly too.

I don’t like to give bad reviews because the place was GREAT. However….. There was no one around to check in. Which would be fine if there was a way to communicate. No messaging system, or email with instructions. (Stayed at contactless places before with great results) Called phone numbers listed on 2 different sites with no answer. Found someone working on the grounds, one of which spoke no english, be we were finally able to get the room key that way. Could use an ice machine, a way to contact any staff, and maybe instructions to some of the cool features.

Tammy, the assistant inn keeper and restaurant manager was fantastic. She was attentive to every need. The restaurant staff was phenomenal as well highly recommend, it’s a little hidden gem off the beaten path. I will definitely return. Had a fabulous time.

The property is certainly unique, but you have to know certain things before booking. It’s run more like an Air abnb than a hotel. There’s no formal check-in or check-out process. If you arrive before 5 PM the restaurant will be closed and there will be no one to assist you or answer any questions. There are only three rooms total and they’re all located upstairs above the restaurant. If you can’t get your own bags up the outdoor staircase this may not be the place for you. An access code gets you into the vestibule that houses the three rooms. There’s a funky key system for the rooms as well. All that being said it’s a hidden oasis down a dirt path smack in the middle of Bolton Landing. The room we had was spacious and well appointed, as was the bathroom with huge walk-in shower. Excellent water pressure as well, always a welcome treat. Although there are more dramatic views of the mountains and the lake from other vantage points, it feels very serene and tucked away. An added treat is the restaurant Chateau on the Lake. Fine dining with wonderful food, wine list, ambiance and staff—without the stuffiness.
