Perfect for what we needed for an overnight stay in Chester, plus loads of great amenities. However it was very warm in the rooms but it was an exceptionally hot day

Once you're inside, the property is excellent. The only problem we had was finding it! Good location, close to the town centre, pubs and restaurants.

I chose this hotel to be near the racecourse. It is 30sec away. There is one even nearer but it is a Holiday Inn Express. Potential guests should understand this is an 'unstaffed' hotel. No kitchen, no meals and no concierge. You have a keypad for the main door and another one for your room. You let yourself in and out. And there is a machine where you can leave a tip! The building appears to have been converted from a large terraced house in a side street. The quality of my room was very good with modern features, nice shower and inevitably it was quiet. I was arriving early evening, going out for dinner, sleeping and leaving at 0800 so was perfectly adequate. But it isn't a 'full-service' hotel.

A lovely property with tasteful decor. All the staff are very pleasant. Palm Court restaurant was really nice, and the gym and swim facilities were good. The Sunday carvery is excellent and complimentary products in the room a nice touch. Not a lot of seating in the bar if wanting drinks only, most of it is for eating. Similarly, car parking is at a premium with a wedding on. Changing rooms are quite small, and could do with a spin machine for drying trunks (many have these now).
