There are two sides of this hotel. We were on the old side. I would ask when booking what side you’re in. Our bed was very comfortable and typical to most European hotels the room was not very large. The location is perfect!! Seems out of the way and quiet when you get there but you’re literally a very, very short walk to everything. Trolley stops are very close and a five minute walk to Rathausplatz. Would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were really nice, staff was very accommodating. The rooms didn’t have phones to call the helpdesk, but they did have WhatsApp, which allowed you to communicate with them. The bar upstairs was amazing for late night drinks and good ambience.

Cannot beat the location

The location is convenient and the hotel looks beautiful in the pictures. However, the room wasn’t cleaned to a sufficient level — I don’t think they ever did vacuum cleaning during the week we stayed there, which was obvious because the floor got quite dirty with fluff and dust. We could see mould in the bathroom, which is surprising considering that the hotel is quite new. Also, they have some issues with heating; therefore, it was cold in the room, which is critical in such cold weather as we had. We had to ask for additional blankets, and eventually they had to give us an additional heater. Lastly, we booked a Superior Double Room with a large bed, a sofa, and a table. There were pictures of this room that we saw and liked. When we arrived, they gave us a room that was missing half of this furniture and looked very different from the pictures. When I mentioned that the room didn’t look like the one we booked and didn’t have a table or a sofa, they immediately offered us the same room but with the missing furniture. Why they couldn’t do that straight away? Why did we have to have all those conversations? Because the room still didn’t look like the one that we booked, we were given a free upgrade to a Suite, which is nice. However, the first experience when we just arrived wasn’t too good, which is very disappointing, considering that you are tired from all the travelling. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful too.
