Finca El Almendrillo was a beautiful place to stay with 3 families. Between the 3 families we have 8 teenagers, ranging from 14-18. There was loads of space for all. You can disappear to read or can be in the hub of it in the pool. We had a lot of fun in the pool, mostly playing waterpolo. At night after sharing a meal in the courtyard, the adults went off to relax whilst the teenagers did their own thing. It was perfect. I would highly recommend a visit. When there please visit Bar Los Parjaritos, great food and a relaxing atmosphere.…Finca El Almendrillo was a beautiful place to stay with 3 families. Quiet hotel except for Thursday mornings…

Set in a beautiful spot overlooking the lake. The village is about 2-3 miles away but don't take the car. The roads just get narrower and narrower and are extremely steep. The hotel has no lift but we were given a room on the ground floor as my husband has problems with stairs. The downside of this was that we were awoken by a table top sale being set up right outside our window by some very noisy Brits. I am surprised that the hotel allowed this immediately outside bedroom windows. Beware it happens on a Thursday morning.
