Hotel del Vino

Hotel del Vino

8/10 Good
"Hotel del Vino is a secluded property, but the entrance could be better marked. Since the hotel is located toward the back of the property, it was somewhat difficult to find. The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was on the first floor because the elevator was not working, which was important since my 85-year-old mother has difficulty climbing stairs. The king-size bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. However, although the room was advertised for four adults, the smaller bed was more suitable for children and was not adequate for adults. The reclining chair was also leaning to one side, making it uncomfortable to sleep in. The bathroom had several issues. There was no shower, and the bathtub was very slippery, making it difficult for my mother to use safely. The bathroom also lacked an exhaust fan, causing it to become extremely steamy, with the floors and walls becoming wet. We had dinner at the restaurant in the lobby. The food was adequate but not particularly memorable. On a positive note, the complimentary self-parking was a great amenity. Overall, the staff was welcoming and the hotel was clean, but improvements to the entrance, elevator, sleeping accommodations, and bathroom facilities would make the stay more comfortable, particularly for older guests."

Quiet and romantic apartment

Quiet and romantic apartment

10/10 Excellent
"We have been traveling through northern Spain and needed to find a place about halfway between Getxo and Barcelona where our family could stop, relax, and recharge. Since it was the week of the solar eclipse, almost everything along our route was completely booked.Júlia was kind enough to accommodate our family at her apartment, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place. We travel a lot, and this was easily one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, and the apartment had absolutely everything we needed. The backyard was beautiful and immaculate, and having our own private pool was such a nice bonus—especially after spending so many days on the road!Júlia’s hospitality truly saved us during an incredibly busy travel week. We are so grateful she opened her home to our family. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it!"

"Best hotel of our trip..clean, easy to get in, had plenty of space with 2 pull out sofas and a queen bed. Two TV's, two separate rooms. It was great. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and the food was a good price. Everything about the hotel was good."

Sercotel Plaza Feria

Sercotel Plaza Feria

8/10 Good
"This hotel is a good choice if you are driving a car, which we were not. We were in Zaragoza to see the eclipse and should have stayed in the Old Town. Instead we were 30 minutes away and next to a truck depot. There was a bus stop very close to the hotel but the bus ran every 30-40 minutes and the route it took was not as GPS showed, so getting to the Old Town was tricky and then finding the right place to take the bus back even more difficult. Therefore we ended up taking taxis, which the hotel staff easily arranged, or you could flag one down in the Old Town, but it added 20-30€ each time we used it. Uber is not as available as in other big cities, but all taxis use a meter so we never had to negotiate prices. The hotel breakfast was good. Eggs, toast, Spanish tortilla, fruit, pastries and pretty good coffee. We did not have it included in the room cost so it was an additional 12€ per person each day. The lunch and dinner options were minimal. Again without a car you have a good 15-minute walk to a couple of fast food and an Italian restaurants. Not too sure as we always ate in town. The bed was very comfortable but be sure to ask for a single bed when making the reservation as twin beds seem to be a thing in Europe. The showers were a welcome respite after a day of walking in 100+ degrees. There are no grab bars to get in and out of the tub so be careful. All in all, Sercotel is a good cheaper choice if you are driving, but not so good if you rely on public transit."
