I was there four nights. Rough neighborhood with homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks near to the hotel and the streets are deserted at night. Good central location for LA Live and Peacock Theater. Security men at front door were not always available to let you in, but that was a minor inconvenience. The front door of the rental apartment had a camera which was an indicator about the neighborhood. Free parking was a great amenity. Felt very secure and safe in the building with fantastic lobby staff. Space was well equipped, washer/dryer was a plus. Location is downtown so be prepared for not so pleasant smells and a very present unhoused population in the immediate surroundings. Bed was not made, dirty bathroom towels, hairs, etc. Owner gave us a refund directly, not through VRBO, to avoid penalty fee. Went to a hotel instead. Parking garage is not in the building, it is across the street and around the corner and open to public, was told by a tenant that the garage is not that safe. I walked around the neighborhood at night plenty with no problems. Just be smart.
