The hotels definitely lives up to its pictures, walking around the grounds is breathtaking and the layout of reception inviting. Unfortunately the beautiful hotel missed some ambience. Lacking in music. Breakfast we decided to sample did not disappoint our taste buds, an amazing continental buffet style, with an additional option of ordering an array of eggs pancakes etc.. This was of great quality and alot of choice. The downsides to our stay was staff, a couple tainted the rest of the bunch. At night there was a friendly helpful bar person. But during the day not a smile to be seen and a word hardly spoken. Unfortunately we didn't sample the lunch and dinner menu as the rude staff once seated put us off partaking after giving them a second chance and still the same treatment we decided to venture out. Thankfully Elche didn't disappoint!

We had a fantastic stay at Luces de Cathedral and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were delighted that our room was ready earlier than expected. On our last day, they were also happy to store our luggage while we enjoyed the city before our late flight home, which made our departure completely stress-free. We stayed in a Superior Studio, which was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more. It was well equipped, with thoughtful touches like complimentary toiletries, fresh drinking water and a welcome coffee. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The location couldn't have been better—right in the heart of the city, surrounded by fantastic restaurants and bars, and less than a 10-minute walk (under 1 km) to the beach. Having breakfast at Madness Coffee Shop next door was an added bonus and a perfect way to start each day. The only minor downside was that we experienced a few issues with the Wi-Fi connection during our stay, but it wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise excellent experience. Overall, we couldn't fault our stay. The excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and unbeatable location made for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be staying at Luces de Cathedral again on our next visit.
