“Grand chambre et grande salle de bain , avec bcp de charme, excellent accueil.bon petit déjeuner . TV petite . Chambre un peu froide ( grande hauteur plafond ?) très bon dîner . Hôtes charmants , parc en pleine nature . ”

“When I arrived at this property the owner finally answered the door, she said she had no knowledge of my booking. Finally I had to email her a copy of my confirmation. This wasn't made any easier by her statement that "she spoke no English" - the website clearly states multilingual staff. (In fact it later became clear she did speak English). The 'living-room' is actually set out as a shop and did not feel welcoming - I was not invited to use it anyway. The only restaurant in Salives was unable……

“I love the quirkiness of this hotel which is also a bar & a tabac. It’s typically local French establishment with no pretensions. The dinner & breakfast is of a good standard & satisfying. The bedrooms are clean & somewhat eccentric, so it helps if you have a sense of humour. It’s right on the D393 which is a fantastic biking road between Bar sur Aube & Dijon. I use it at least twice a year, so will be back soon. ”

“Nous ne recommandons absolument pas cet hôtel, nous y sommes allés en couple pour un week-end : la réceptionniste était totalement débordée. Les propriétaires n’emploient pas assez d’employés pour gérer un hôtel de cet envergure. Douche sans rideau ce qui mouille toute la salle de bain, trace de chaussures dans notre chambre, piscine pas propre, verres sales (en plastique), serviettes qui sentent mauvais, pas de volet.
