“Stayed five times, excellent hotel fro a short break away .”

“The room was clean but very basic and only just adequate. The breakfast itself was convenient, but the breakfast dishes and food were left out all afternoon and evening, which didn't give the impression of good cleanliness or food hygiene. Overall, the hotel was clean enough, but I expected better attention to the breakfast area.”

“Booked a double room but got a room with 3 single beds. Not the end of the world but not what I booked. Beds were uncomfortable. Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side. The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet. “They don't have a car park but there is a pay and display not far away. They don't do breakfast.”

“Lovely staff. The Porridge at Breakfast was excellent.”

“Well positioned in Cockermouth. Stairs upto bed rooms may be challenging for some guests. Easy parking, well stocked bar, pleasant communal rooms and garden. Best part of this hotel by far is the very welcoming friendly staff and superb breakfast.”
