I really liked the hotel location and amenities. It was really confident for my short stay in Lille. The front desk staff was super kind and welcoming.
My only complaint is with the cleaning service. Basic etiquette was not followed and I felt harassed by them with how insistent they were on making up the room, even in the day of my checkout. It’s unclear to me why they are not aware which rooms are checking out that day because they acted surprised when I said that.
I was suffering from jet lag and had return d to my room to take a short nap before checkout time. I had placed the do not disturb sign, and kept they would not stop knocking. Luckily I learned from the day before and manually locked my door or I’m sure they would have entered again despite me saying I’m in the room. I’m very irritated because unless it’s an emergency, there is no a reason to bang a door down because the guest is not responding and it’s before checkout out time. I think it’s a fair assumption someone could be sleeping or occupied! Anyway you can bet they were back knocking at 11:59am for 12:00pm checkout 💀
