Private cabin on River: Hot tub, Fire table, hiking & fishing in front yard, AT

Very private, 7 person Hot tub, fire pit, outdoor living room with fire table, gas grill, river 100 ft from front door, 2.5 mile fly fishing trail across the river from cabin, minutes to hiking Appalachian Trail, custom beds with brand new mattresses on all beds, fully remodeled and super clean! Master bedroom w/ king bed, 2nd bedroom w/ 2 twin beds, 3rd bedroom with 2 queen beds, 3 full baths.

Relax by the beautiful blue-ribbon trout stream and let the sounds of the rolling water and breeze through the trees melt away your cares, reconnect with nature by walking along the forested fly fishing trail that borders thousands of acres of national forest. Come back and rejuvenate in the 7-person hot tub, sway in the porch swing, sit on the outdoor couch by the fire table with a glass of wine, and roast marshmallows by the campfire. The RiverHouse has it all, secluded and surrounded by nature that begs for you to adventure out. The home has primo finishes including bark siding, a timber frame porch overlooking the river, handmade beds, fully reclining leather couches, solid surface countertops, a fully stocked kitchen, a campfire, swings, a riverside patio, and a hot tub. Come make your memories with your special ones! Close proximity to the Appalachian Trail, VA Creeper trail, Mount Rogers, Grayson Highlands State Park, Hungry Mother State Park, and many other hiking and outdoor areas.

Cabin Vacation
This cabin is very clean and comfortable. We especially liked all the outdoor seating areas, from the chairs by the river to the upper deck with gas fireplace! Ryan was very prompt in responding to all of my questions and comments.

Excellent Property
In fairness, this is the second time I have stayed. Both times the process has been seamless from check in to check out. Follow the directions emailed to you and you are fine. The house has plenty of room, nice deck area for relaxing, and sitting at night with the fire pit burning, listening to the river run by - relaxation embodies.

This home is located off the beaten path and away from the busy-ness of town we intended to escape
The property had just what we wanted. Nothing was complicated. Everything was clean and worked. Our host was accommodating and responsive when we needed help. We would stay at the Riverhouse again

Perfect getaway in the woods!
This house was beautiful and enjoyable inside and out. Multiple spaces to chill individually or as a group, spotlessly clean, and everything you could need. The location feels secluded but is only a short drive from Marion. Quick access to a hiking/fly fishing trail and within 45 min of two awesome state parks!

An amazing property
Wow! What can I say? We were blown away by the beauty surrounding the property, and the house is practically brand new inside. Two decks the porch with a hot tub and swing. The closets are huge. The bathrooms are very nice. And the upstairs kitchen and family area is amazing. Already planning on staying here next year.

What a Find!!
First, I want to say that I found this amazing location because we happen to be coming in town for a wedding the same weekend as the race in Bristol. That meant there were very few places that were available that met the criteria we were looking for. I might never have ventured this far away from our wedding location if it were not for that. And wow! Am I glad that I expanded our search! I really don’t know where to begin with his location, but what I will say is that the photos do not fully capture the essence of this place. We had read the reviews so we knew to be prepared to have the directions printed off before we came due to the remote location and the possibility that our Internet would be slow. But to be honest, it’s that way in many of the areas we drove in southwest Virginia. I mean – You’re out in the country. What do you expect? Internet aside, we had no issues with connectivity while we were there. The instructions were easy to follow, and to be honest we really didn’t need to be that connected. At the end of the day, if there was a real emergency, there are plenty of landline phones. But we are there to see our family as we are from out of state, and spent quite a bit of our time actually driving between several towns surrounding the location. Luckily, we were able to spend some substantial time there and I would love to come back. I would also love to know more about the history of the area, and once you visit, you will too. I would live here!Beautiful home!

Riverhouse
This modern rustic Riverhouse cabin was amazing! It exceeded all our expectations. The easy check in, local information and directions were on point. The kitchen was well equipped to cook all our meals and the well designed patio, deck and hot tub area let us relax and rejuvenate. The beautiful views by the river made this a very special place to hike, fish or do absolutely nothing! I have traveled most of my career and this cabins cleanliness was immaculate to include the outdoor area well maintained. Thank you Ryan for sharing this magical piece of natural beauty with us! We will certainly be back to escape and reconnect. Highly recommend!

This was such an enjoyable location. Sitting out on the deck, listening to the river run by, birds tweet, bugs buzz away, and nothing else. It was glorious. The house is clean, neat, water dispenser made the coffee so awesome, and such a joy that I booked a second trip this fall before I even checked out. This will be my go to get away at least once a year.

Our group had an excellent mountain getaway. This was an ideal home right on a gorgeous river. We enjoyed fishing and hanging out while cooking in the well appointed kitchen. The host was friendly and responsive. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway in nature.

Pictures don't do it justice
This home and property is ideal for nature lovers and folks who want quality time together in a very comfortable setting. A private sitting area on the river, a covered deck with grill and propane standing fireplace/heater and comfortable couch and chairs, an outside fire circle in a precious side yard complete with covered camping shelter if you are so inclined, a hot tub for after dipping in the cold stream and an indoor den with reclinable leather sofas and chairs just to name a few of the special things about this place. If you love wood the house is custom built with beautiful floors and cabinetry. The bedrooms are all ground floor with the living area upstairs. You can hear people moving around upstairs in the morning or evening unless you are in the double queen room. And if you are into birds, you will love this spot. The house is at the end of a gravel road so you won't be bothered by the fact that the river is "across" the road. We saw 4 vehicles the whole time we were up there. My only comment and this is not a complaint, but there is nothing there in the house in the kitchen other than salt and pepper so go prepared.

Riverhouse Out of Sight out of Mind
Riverhouse is a secluded mountain retreat! Gorgeous Landscape and pristine trout waters! Bookers be Alert! I received rental information on the 18th of April, along with several other useful documents. Which would not pull up when I got close, because there is no cell phone service, therefore, it is imperative to have the correct information. The manager replied fast, but I had to drive 12 minutes to the closest signal point, and that was only 1 bar. The Challenges escalated, I didn't recieve the passcode for the wifi, once I found the home having the wrong login instructions didn't help. Major challenges on the first day, challenges that set us behind by about 2 hours. Sooooo By the time I got the information my family was not far behind me so, once I got the correct information at 3:36 pm Friday evening it was too late to send it because they could not receive it. Lesson Learned! So make sure you have The correct instructions, a wifi password, and follow the directions and you will get there. Would I stay there again, nope, should you try it out, YES if you want to be away from everyone and fish YES, If you can't follow directions and are co-dependent on GPS then do not try this.

It is the perfect secluded getaway and privacy we love. The cabin is beautiful and met every expectation. Only thing we can recommend are rugs for the down stairs hallway bathroom and the master bedroom (floors are a bit chilly). Would definitely stay again.
