El emplazamiento se ubica en la zona de la Kasbah, no en Mohamed V, como idica en algún mapa. La ubicación exacta viene en la web del riad. Se encuentra a unos 10-15 minutos a pie de la plaza Djema el Fnaa, en pleno casco antiguo, muy próximo a las tumbas saadíes. Nos encantó la decoración, la limpieza, la tranquilidad y el desayuno típico marroquí con dos clases de pan, zumo de naranja, etc... La atención del personal es muy correcta y todos los días, sin excepción, se cambian sábanas y toallas. Nos alojamos en la habitación lagoon, de color azul, con vistas al patio que tiene una diminuta piscina para refrescarse. Excelente relación calidad-precio. Volveríamos. Por cierto, la ficha con las características del hotel no es correcta. I don't normally write reviews but I compelled after staying in other riad's in Morocco, we really began to appreciate how amazing this one was. It was mainly the humble hospitality we received from the hotel manager (very genuine man) that made it all worth the stay. The hotel room was very clean and best of all had heat. Allez-y les yeux fermés! Ma femme et moi y avons passé un séjour d'une semaine inoubliable. La patronne, Caroline est très sympathique. Avant notre arrivée, j'avais passé un petit coup de fil pour aviser que c'était nos premières vacances après notre mariage et à notre arrivée, nous avons été surclassés dans la suite corail, sans supplément. Tout au long du séjour, Caro était très disponible et nous a donné pleins de bons tuyaux. Le riad est très joli, bien situé, dans un quartier calme. Le petit déjeuner qu'on peut prendre à n'importe quel heure et les repas sont délicieux et préparés avec amour. Nous ne pouvons pas oublier la gentillesse incommensurable de Hayat et la discrétion de Simon. Franchement, n'hésitez pas. We arrived at Riad Aliya the morning after we were due to arrive and we greeted by one of the lovely members of staff who checked us in and made us a lovely Moroccan breakfast. The riad is only about a 10 - 15 minute walk away from Jamaa el Fnaa square and a 5 minute walk from the Saadian Tombs. For us it felt like a real sanctuary from the chaos that is Marrakech and so could not recommend it enough. We were only there for 3 nights and had a wonderful time including a day tour to the Atlas mountains and waterfalls. It looks recently renovated so everything is fresh and in good order. The staff were all so welcoming and always available to help. I can't compliment them enough for making our stay so enjoyable. Rooms were good sized, clean and comfortable. There is no TV in the rooms (which wasn't a surprise as I've stayed in riads before) but it would have been nice on a handful of occasions when you come back from being out and just want some downtime in your room. The breakfast was tasty and prepared fresh each morning. We didn't book an airport pickup. Upon arrival there is a taxi stand and the fares are all listed on a large board and the prices are fixed and reasonable. To get around during our stay, walking was fine, but for longer trips taxis are plentiful and cheap from the main street outside the medina. We decided to book an airport transfer from the riad for departure for the convenience of not having to carry our bags to the street where the taxis are. Unfortunately our ‘driver’ walked us from the riad through the medina back to the main street where he had parked his taxi (the same place we could have just walked ourselves and got our own taxi for a fraction of the price). It's not a big thing but we felt a little cheated right at the end by that experience. Don't let this put you off though. Upon arriving the Riad was quiet. there was no rush to check in the focus was to have me settled and relaxed in my new environment. They entire time stayed I felt that the Riad was a home away from home. It is in the lovely Kasbah area only 10 minutes walk from the centre and so nice to return to after a long day. I would however definatley use the riad's airport transfer service on arrival as you would never find it first time round, even if you know the area. The riad itself is beautiful, with a calm and simple style, not overdone. The rooms are quite spacious and well looked after, our room was made up each day with clean sheets and towels and petals on the bed. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, even nipping out to get some cheese for my husband who found the breakfast too sweet. We stayed here the night prior to a two day hike in the mountains due to very positive comments we had seen on this sight. However though the staff were initially friendly and engaging we were left disappointed by our stay at this Riad. The morning of our departure, the water had been turned off due to a leakage of some sort. This was done without informing us, apologizing or making other arrangements. We were left without any water for showering and all the staff could say was it was not their fault and hoped we would not write a bad review. There was no attempt at trying to assist in helping make other arrangements, offering a discount or some compensation or added benefit or to help with the situation. eg making arrangements to allow us to bath in another Riad close by. In addition internet access was intermittent and only minimally accessible in the rooms. So while this has several positive points-it was clean and ordered; customer service, with the desire to help with an unexpected problem wasn't there. Vores ophold på Riad Aliya kunne næsten ikke have været bedre! Man ankommer i de små gader i medinaen og forventer slet ikke indholdet bag porten til at se så fantastik og stemningsfuldt ud. Riad'et var i rigtig marokkansk stil med en lille pool og en lækker tag terrasse. Personalet var simpelthen SÅ søde og hjælpsomme, og hjælp os flere gange med at komme på sjove udflugter, transport til og fra lufthavnen og gav os tips til vores ophold i Marrakech. Personalen på hotellet var trevliga, särskilt de arabiska kvinnorna som arbetade där. Vi fick svar på frågor och en del tips. Ibland stämnde dock inte de priser de sa, det gick att finna billigare alternativ än det de sa. Rummen var fina och rena. Frukosten var god och när vi bad om extra saker serverades vi det. Hotellet ligger i ett lugnt område en ganska bra bit från torget och marknaderna. 15 min när man kan vägen. Men det var ganska skönt att inte vara mitt inne i smeten hela tiden. Vårt första intryck av hotellet var inte så bra. Vi hade beställt hämtning på flygplatsen, som aldrig kom. Senare skyllde personalen på varandra. Det slutade med att vi själva tog oss dit, vilket visade sig inte vara så svårt, som jag fått uppfattningen av från andra recensioner. Det var dessutom mycket billigare! Det kostade 80 dh (efter en del förhandlande, stå på er!) att åka från flygplatsen och tog 15 min ca. Säg att hotellet ligger i området Qasbah i gamla staden nära markez el-sahi (vårdcentralen), så hittar de. Därifrån kan folk på gatan visa vägen (men kräver dock en lite slant). Var mycket försiktiga om ni åker på ökenturer med kamelridning. Min man blev avkastad och trampad/sparkad på av sin kamel och blev allvarligt skadad. Vi väntade på ambulans en timme i ökenkylan medan min man var avsvimmad och hamnade slutligen på ett primitiv sjukhus utan hjälp att bistå.
