No such thing as a bad stay

Even though it rained most of the three days we were here, it just served to make the house seem cozier. The lake view is lovely regardless of the weather, and the house is so well appointed and maintained that it's a pleasure to spend time in it. Can't wait to go back!

Fantastic House - awesome owner

The house is great and the location is downright stunning. We loved sitting on the deck and watching neighbors float by in their rowboats and kayaks - and keeping an eye out for the bald eagle who nests nearby. You won’t find a better place to stay anywhere.

Quiet time at the lake

I come to Crabapple every few months with two friends for a crafting getaway. It's the best place I've ever been to unwind--little noise except for birds, extra-dark nights for good sleep, a lovely, well cared for house to stay in, and a wonderful host who is very responsive.

Wonderful home on a beautiful lake!

We travelled with another family and stayed at Gordon’s lovely home. The house was very spacious and very well appointed… and the views of the lake were stunning! It was a wonderful stay and we enjoyed swimming in the lake and frolicking on the dock every day. We look forward to a return visit!

Perfect family getaway

The house is very spacious and equipped with pretty much everything you need. The lake was really nice. There's kayaks, canoe, paddle board, basketball, ping pong, games. Everyone had a blast. I would highly recommend this property.

Amazing sunroom!

Narrow drive to get to the home, but worth it. The view of the lake from the sunroom is amazing - perfect place for morning coffee. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend.

A great stay regardless of season

Having now stayed here in all four seasons, I can honestly say it doesn't matter what time of year you visit—if you're looking for an immaculate home with a gorgeous view surrounded by peaceful acres of woods and no noise, this is the place to come. If you're a piano player you probably noticed in the photos that there's an upright piano in the entry hall; it's a wonderful find that you don't usually see in vacation rentals. Just be sure to bring music with you if you want to play, as none is kept at the house. Gordon has been a very responsive host and does a great job of maintaining the house, answering questions, and making sure his guests are comfortable. We plan to return frequently!

So Comfortable So Nice

This is a beautiful home, well appointed and fully stocked. The owner is available for questions and responds very promptly. The location is idyllic and the water toys (kayaks) were so much fun. We have stayed at a number of rentals over the years and this was definitely one of the finest.

Great Place

There was 6 of us adults and the house was so roomy, it was so comfortable for everyone and allowed space if you wanted it. The outside was awesome being right on the lake and very quiet area. Having access to kayaks and other water craft was a great addition to most rentals. Better than described, highly recommended!!!

Wedding Weekend

What a blessing to find this lovely home with sweeping views of Lake Crabapple from every window. All the siblings and daughters of the bride, our daughter, were able to be together for the weekend. And after the wedding, the house was ideal to host visiting family and friends. The kitchen was well stocked and roomy enough to gather around the island for snacking and chatting. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. A definite A+!

We loved this little slice of heaven. Swimming, paddling, kayaking in the nice clear water, very quiet and peaceful, bald eagle sightings daily. House gets lots of light which is wonderful in the evenings. Fully stocked kitchen and a new Weber BBQ. Nice grass area for outdoor games. Loved the Sun Room, spent most of our mornings and evening chatting in there or on the deck. Loved every day!

Can't say enough good things

We've stayed at a lot of nice properties over the years, but we all feel like this one tops the list. It's not just the house itself, or even the wonderful lakefront location, but the friendliness and responsiveness of the hosts. They are wonderful! They made a point of having their piano tuned for when we stayed there, and they are always updating and improving the property; next summer, I'm told, they will have a new dock which is an extremely inviting prospect! Can't wait for our next visit.
