"Gerard could not have done more to help, after Lilian let us in and showed us round with virtually no English and us with limited French. The village is delightful and the location was perfect, with an excellent restaurant a walk away at the bottom of the hill, overlooking a lake and run by an English lady and her American partner. They had 72 covers, including outside, on the night before we went there to eat, and about 40 on a night when we almost decided to risk not booking, but as the rain was pouring down I doubt we'd have got in."
