Beautiful hotel right next to the beach.

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon check in we received a beautiful lei made with real flowers and an explanation of what the hotel has to offer. Our room came well equipped with 2 balconies and the view of the ocean was breath taking! This hotel has so much to offer to make your stay amazing.... Would definately stay here again.

Nice hotel on beach

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Hotel on beach with water sports, luau and scuba. 5 mins to Lahaina. 3 restaurants and coffee shop, plus assorted resort shops. Can share facilities with next door Hyatt residence , dining and pools. The gym was top notch and there's a spa but didn't try it. Japanese restaurant really good. Books up so make reservations. Overall good experience.

Beware

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Hyatt in Kaanapali have select rooms that they put aside for customers that book through discount travel sites like Expedia. This is our second time at this hotel and both times rooms were not well maintained. Furniture was worn, curtain in bathroom was old and moldy, several electrical plugs did not work, safe was not working, coffee maker was broken etc...

Cons: バスタブがざらついていた
Location:

Great hotel and resort

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: It had everything a first time Hawaii vacationer would ever want to experience.
Cons: clarification on their website that just because the pool house offers it i.e. sunblock, floaties, and other water use equipment doesn't mean it's free
Location: Could not be in a better location
Awesome location, travel west and experience the remoteness of Maui, travel east and you hit more resorts, nice beaches and lookouts, and great shops. If want a place to stay to experience it all this it, it is co-located next to six other resorts with each of them allowing you the privileage of walking their grounds and enjoying their pools and shops. Great staff, great food, beautiful views and gardens, amazing all around.

Nice but under construction

Posted Jul 31, 2015
The hotel is a bit dated/worn compared to other places we've stayed. They were doing construction during our stay, odd for peak travel season. Regency Club was good, old-timers (Wanette, Alana plus a few more) are wonderful. Newer staff not so much. They are in a hurry, and not so warm and welcoming. Pool is nice, beach very close (lots of construction there too!). We will probably try some place else next time.

Great hotel, pool and location.

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: The pool and ocean view room were excellent.
Cons: Bathroom was a bit small.
Location: Near Lahaina for shopping and restaurants, caught a surfing competition, and spent a little time on the beach. Big waves and great sunset view.
Had a great 3 day stay with my wife. Loved the pool and view of the ocean. Great location to stay in Maui.

Beautiful hotel, Gorgeous grounds.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: It was clean, gorgeous, friendly staff, valet parking staff were awesome, best location. There was Nothing that we didn't like. Fantastic trip.
Cons: Good question, we had an awesome experience. I can't think of a thing that I'd change. We will go back.
Location: We loved the location. Everything is right at your fingertips. It's very walkable. We walked to Whaler's Village and Black Rock several times.
This was our first trip to Maui and boy, did we get lucky! Our experience was great. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are absolutely breathtaking. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. There are shops and activities and everything you need or want right there. The location is great. Whalers Village and Black Rock are just a little hike away. (We are not young, and we walked it quite a bit) It is also just a short drive to downtown Lahaina. The location really couldn't be better. We would definitely, hands down, choose this hotel again. It was first class all the way.

Mahalo to the Hyatt Regency for a great visit!

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: Everything. I honestly can't think of a negative thing about my stay.
Cons: They could give me my own personal free room to vacation anytime that I wanted to come there. But, I know that is just a fantasy or is it?
Location: In no preferential order: 1. On the Beach 2. Pool 3. Whaler's Village 4. good restaurants nearby (808 Grindz, Leoda's, Sangrita) 5. Luau 6.go see Maui
Everything was excellent for us at the Hyatt Regency: the room, the grounds, the staff (concierge, housekeeping, check-in/check-out and the valet). The help was friendly (aloha) never seemed to push for tips (even though they were tipped) and we weren't hounded to buy timeshares (the Marriott Maui really is pushy with it out on the Kaanapali beach walk...I'm glad that I didn't stay there). The Hyatt's grounds are really beautiful. You can literally take 100 pictures of different things/views (from penguins, swans, ducks, landscaping, etc.). The room we received (Partial Ocean view) on the 18th floor exceeded expectations because we could see the ocean, beautiful hills and golf course from the Lanai. I took numerous pictures from the Lanai alone. The Drums Luau was excellent, too. The dancers and musicians were top notch. I wanted to stay longer. Hawaii is expensive, but I have no buyer's remorse for staying at the Hyatt Regency. We stayed there 5 days. In Kaanapali you can drive to Iao Valley to see the needle in less than an hour. It takes barely over an hour to get to Paia. You can see Ho'okipa beach in Paia. It's the biggest beach in terms of surfing. There are also sea turtles there. I didn't use the Concierge to set up shuttles for those visits. I rented a car, which I recommend that people do when they visit Maui. But, the Hyatt also can help people arrange for those kinds of excursions and other excursions such as the Road to Hana and Sunset at Haleakala
