Exceptional. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Country Villa Estate. Danny and Mabel were fabulous hosts from the moment we arrived. We were met with a warm welcome before being shown to our very comfortable room which was beautifully decorated and with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was superb with different options each day. Mabel is a true artist with her delicious breakfast offerings. Beautiful gardens, comfortable spaces to relax, a truly unique experience.

Best stay in New Zealand! What an exceptional staff in an incredible location. Really happy with our time at Hana Lodge and already looking to book again next year on a return trip. Thank you!

The location is excellent but that is where it ends. I have no idea why everyone is giving it the 4 or 5 stars. Please people tell the truth. The rooms are mediocre at best and very dated. The shower robes basically told the full story. They were fraying to bits. The bed was uncomfortable to sleep in as the mattress seemed very tired as you sunk right into it and the electric heaters gave such a dry heat we had to turn them all off. Freezing was a more comfortable option. The breakfast, was totally unacceptable. A few items thrown together. Full cream (full fat) milk the only choice of milk. Requested semi or skimmed only to be told the full cream is the best, the others are watered down versions!!some bread, bacon, scrambled eggs, yoghurt that was poured onto a plate already - that was breakfast! Couldn't have any eggs made to order at all. They offer a sauna & hottub at the bottom end of the garden. To access both you need to walk across a mud trodden path, through a dark garage. The sauna had to be turned on 30 minutes before you could utilise it. But no instructions given on how to utilise either! Finally, we were given a room at the top. But there were stairs going to another room further up. Considering you have to carry your own luggage, wedding feel sorry for the poor sod who got allocated the upstairs. He said he nearly broke his back taking his suitcases upstairs!

An Unforgettable Stay at On The Point – Lake Rotorua We had such an amazing time at On The Point, even though our stay was far too short! From the moment we arrived, everything felt so personal and intimate, it truly felt like we were receiving one-on-one care. And the animals! ❤️ They were honestly one of the highlights of our entire stay. The miniature horses, donkeys, and sheep were absolutely lovely. I genuinely wanted to cry when we were leaving, and I missed them almost immediately! I could have happily stayed there just to spend my days with them. A very special shout-out to Nicky, who took such wonderful care of us. The breakfasts were delicious, and she made us the BEST coffee every morning. You can really tell how much she cares about her guests and making sure they feel at home. Also, a special thank you to "Sairy" (I really hope I spelled her name correctly or at least got close! 😊), who looked after us during our beautiful, intimate dinner. She made the evening feel even more special. The property itself is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking 360-degree views everywhere you look. Peaceful, beautiful, personal, and unforgettable. Come stay here, you will NOT regret it. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. ❤️ We will definitely be back!
