Excellent location and very nice property. This was the most comfortable hotel on our trip - we’ve stayed in six different to date. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. I like that they seat you so you aren’t roaming around trying to claim a table. Also, this helps them keep the tables cleaned and set. Excellent. The only downside was getting hot water in our bathroom. Weird, but it work out. The tv was not compatible with any device or app we had, which is a long list, so perhaps beware if tv is a priority for you. Very helpful staff! They never hesitated to handle our luggage or get use a taxi, etc.

Our flight was delayed in Edinburgh and I knew that we would be arriving at the property after midnight. I phoned and messaged the property repeatedly to ask whether I would still be able to collect our key if we arrived in the middle of the night. No answer. Expedia also phoned repeatedly on our behalf. No answer. Their website said they had a 24 hour reception desk but nobody responded. When we arrived at 1:30 am, the desk was empty and dark. We rang the bell repeatedly for a few minutes and thought we would have to find another hotel. Just as we were about to leave, a man emerged from somewhere (looked like had been sleeping) and let us in. We said we had been repeatedly messaging about our later arrival and he said he thought he had seen our message. Why then didn’t he answer? We finally got a message from the property the next morning that we can indeed arrive late and we would be able to collect our key. 😒

The hotel was in a good location. Staff were very welcoming. Room well equipped and allowed for self catering. Beds comfy. Shower and bathroom clean. Bar on site good.

This was so close to everything we wanted to visit, staff was so friendly & helpful Held our luggage which was so helpful Wish the window opened further, kinda warm
