We had issues in our room with the toilet not functioning. It was supposed to repaired while we were out during the day came home to the existing problem with wet towels on the floor that had not been cleaned up. Called the front desk was told there were no rooms for us to move to and sent up maintenance. Maintenance left assuring us the problem was fixed but indeed it was not. Our toilets would not flush and randomly flushed itself throughout the evening. Both my sister and I use the lobby bathroom throughout the evening. I spoke with the front desk and although I booked this through Expedia I am a Hilton member They assured me that there were rooms available and we should have been moved but we're not. They also told me they would add points to my Hilton account since they could not refund any money as I booked through Expedia. As of today none of that has happened. Very disappointed in this property and how they handled our issue. Would not book again.

The staff was okay at check in. The girl held a conversation about Wendy’s with another worker an barely made any comments towards me about my stay. Went directly to the room and wanted to wash my hands and 2 out of the 3 hand towels had hair in them. The pillows are awful. The shower had very little water pressure and the shower head was not flush against the wall. We had to turn the ac down to about 66 to even get a little air moving. I’m not sure that we will be back, especially with the hair in the towels issue

The view and access to restaurants and the concert venue were great. I also appreciated having a quiet space.

My husband & I were in Birmingham for a concert. We enjoyed our stay at The Painted Lady! We enjoyed the historic building, beautiful bedroom & huge bathroom!

EXTREMELY difficult to get to find the access to the building. EVERY uber we ordered came to the location adjacent to the 3rd street "entrance" which we could not access. once we finally got into the building--a resident above the hamburger place helped us walk the entire grounds to eventually see the ramp and entrances for 1st floor access--we then found out that we had to download two apps so that we could get door codes. we spent 90 minutes sorting out HOW to get to the entrance and then organizing the apps to get the locks arranged. once that was figured out, access for us was simple. uber drivers all said they had difficulty getting guests from this location in the past. shower had no hot water and the pressure was terrible.
