"The owner Pearl and her Manager Judy organized my pick up and arriving at Thatchford was like a breath of fresh air. It was a safe neighborhood, surrounded by beautiful houses in a very wealthy neighborhood. There was a gorgeous river on the other side of the fence and I would take morning walks here, very peaceful and extremely relaxing. It was like staying at an old friends place, personable, comfortable and you just felt at home. This was exactly what I needed after staying at lots of boutique hotels all over Africa. Some place I could just feel like home, decompress and unwind. What made this place extra special is the type of service Pearl and her team give, they will go above and beyond to make your little wishes come true. Prior to leaving I was hungry and thought I would just wait to go to the airport and eat. Pearl got into the kitchen and made me a grilled cheese sandwich, presented it on a tray with flowers and apple juice and knocked on my door!
