Amine was so helpful, answered any time i called. This riad is a little different in that you get the whole establishment to yourself. Amine checks you in and out, and thats it, but totally available for anything in between. You need to be prepared to deal with staff who can be quite persistent in trying to sell extra services despite our refusals. We eventually booked and paid for an airport transfer through them. They had also offered us a takeaway breakfast, which we never received. "We stayed a couple of nights at the riad and it was absolutely fantastic. Thanks to Amine and the staff, we fell at home at every moment. Amine was also very convenient and gave us an insightful overview of the highlights of the city when we arrived and throughout all of our stay. The breakfast was also amazing. We will definitely come back to Essaouira in the same riad. Thank you so much!"

"We stayed in room 3. Sadly, the bathroom emits a horrible sewage odor from the drains. The odor is so strong it made us gag—the smell of sewage is disgusting. In order to enjoy the room, the windows need to be left open, which is fine during the day, but not at night when trying to sleep.
On mentioning the issue to the staff, little was done to resolve the issue. We also asked to move to another room and the request was not fulfilled.
At the very least we should have been credited back part...

"Al Manara is truly a beautiful well maintained Riad combined with some design touches that we appreciated and admired.
Very clean , great location, lovely people and the breakfast is amazing.
We stayed in a room which I believe was the smallest in this Riad as all sold out due to festival but it was functional.
I gave it four as we liked to have an air condition and TV in the room. The riad has a TV in the common area only and no room ACs.
Overall highly recommended"
