The best time to visit Melika is during the cooler months, from October to April, to enjoy pleasant temperatures for exploring.During this period, the weather is mild and comfortable, typically ranging from 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 27°C) during the day. This makes it ideal for walking through the historic streets of the M'zab Valley, visiting the ancient mosques, and exploring the local markets without the intensity of the summer heat.Travelers seeking a relaxed and culturally rich experience will find these months perfect. The cooler temperatures allow for extended outdoor activities, such as guided tours of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed ksar (fortified village) of Melika and the nearby cities of Ghardaia and Beni Isguen.Conversely, the summer months, from May to September, bring extremely high temperatures, often exceeding 100°F (38°C), which can make outdoor sightseeing uncomfortable.
