Forget-Me-Knot

Hmm, I think I’d like a beautifully decorated, intimate little cottage for two, located near some hiking trails into a State or National Park. Also, make sure it’s non-smoking and pet free. Oh, and I’d like to hear the train whistle faintly in the valley. If possible I’d also like a campfire we could use. Oh, and a grill. And if you can arrange it, I’d like see the deer frolic in the nearby pond. I know this is a tall order, but I’m confident it’s out there somewhere. If you find it, please pencil me in.

Great cottage
We really enjoyed staying here. We were looking to get away for a weekend and it fit exactly what we had in mind. It is near some hiking spots and we went to Chattanooga (about an hour away) and explored and did some fun things. We even had a couple super nice dogs that joined us on walks and acted as protectors. All of it was a great stay. Would come back again.

Last minute getaway
My husband and I decided to take an impromptu weekend getaway and began looking for the perfect place to stay. As we looked through the many choices in Mentone, we came across Forget Me Knot and instantly fell in love! Bobbie reached out once it was booked and was just as responsive throughout our stay.The cabin was even better than the pictures and offered the most peaceful surroundings. We loved the unique walls in the bathroom where people have signed their names and dates of when they stayed in individual hearts. What an sweet way to memorialize our time together! We highly recommend this beautiful cabin and the amazing hosts to everyone we know! We will definitely be back!

Anniversary getaway
My husband and I booked this property for a quick getaway for our 17th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect little cabin. Very clean and sits on beautiful property. It was very quiet and relaxing. Owners were very attentive and responded to messages quickly.

Cute Cottage in Beautiful Location
We enjoyed our stay in this little cottage. The shower is a little small, but the bed is large and comfy, and we had everything we needed. The only snag was we wanted to turn the AC off while watching movies or eating (too loud for movies and too cold blowing directly at the table, no matter what temp we set it on), but the power button on the unit didn’t work and we didn’t find the remote hiding behind the blinds until we were about to check out. But I think if I had reached out to Bobbie, she would have told us about the remote, and it wouldn’t have been an issue. We loved sitting on the covered porch and walking the trail on the property. Be aware that the portion of the trail that leads to the “secret waterfall” (dry at this time of year, as we expected, but still cool to see) is narrow and kind of steep. The dogs came with us on the trail, which was fun. They were around some during our stay but not bothersome. A nice, relaxing trip.

One of a kind!
This place was quite a find! My husband and I found this place while looking for somewhere to stay for a wedding. It was perfect for a weekend trip! Bobbie was an awesome host and kept great communication with us. The cottage is cozy, well maintained and beautiful! It felt like staying inside a doll house. Very charming and decorated to the tee. The nature was stunning, and we enjoyed the wonderful views from the windows and porch. We enjoyed cuddling up on the big leather couch and watching a movie on our last night. We were certainly sad to go, but happy that we got to experience this wonderful cottage.

The stay was nice. The cabin was very clean. Staff was very polite. The restaurant (Elevations) was great and the staff was great. Food was delicious. The dogs near the cabin need to be on a chain or leash. Some of the things on our agenda were altered because of the dogs running around, so we could not enjoy it the way we wanted.

Charming cottage.
This charming cottage is very near DeSoto State park. It is off the beaten path, and somewhat off the grid. The television reception was great and our cell phones would receive calls. (It was a delightful break from internet.) There is a scenic pond in front of the cabin. The cabin was very clean and comfortable.

Great Little Hideaway in Nature!
I had such a good time at this property. It was a very cute cottage hidden in the woods, there was plenty of privacy even with other houses around. It was nice waking up and sitting by the lake with my coffee and a book! And I loved the screened in porch. I wish there was bigger signage to tell the houses apart, and directions were just a little confusing, but overall it was a great stay and reasonably priced! Thank you so much!!

Perfect Respite
Owners were the best we've ever experienced. They were very thorough with detailed information and quickly responded to every inquiry. The cabin was perfect and was well cared. It is the place to be still and cut out all of "the noise " in our life. We left restored and ready to jump back into life's chaos.

We had the best stay at Forget Me Knot. The cottage was so cozy, clean, beautifully decorated, had everything we needed for cooking meals, and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed feeding the fish, hiking the secret trials, listening to the birds, and relaxing on the screen porch. Ray and Bobbie are so kind and have such a neat place! We are already trying to plan another trip! You will love the cottage!

This was a great place to stay for the weekend! We ate at a place recommended from the welcome packet called Fontanas and it was so good (There was a wait, but the staff was amazing and told us there would be)!!! We enjoyed getting to be outdoors this weekend and spending time unplugged.

Perfectly Quiet
This perfect quiet little cabin was the best for our weekend getaway. If you are looking for complete seclusion from others to spend some quality time alone with someone, this cabin is the spot to be. It was comfy and cozy and only 15 minutes the Hatter Cafe which is a must go to if you are staying in Mentone! We can’t wait to go back!
