Wilderness Country Inn: Italy

  • Hmm, I’d like to see if we can find a nice cottage in the woods. What would be fantastic is if it had hiking trails close by, so we don’t even have to get in the car and drive. Oh, and a campfire would be really nice. And I know I’m dreaming if the cottage had a nice view of a pond. If you see something like that, please pencil me in.

It was like a little piece of Italy in Alabama! So cozy, clean, and welcoming :)The hiking was phenomenal! The full trail took us about 45 minutes and was comparable to ones we’ve gone on in the smokies. We loved exploring the property and going on a morning walk to see all the wildflowers sit next to the pond - it was so peaceful. And we also enjoyed trying out Hatters Cafe while we were in the area - a really unique place that was equally as yummy as it was interesting!!

What an amazing stay! The space was exactly as described…and then some-all of amenities! The hosts were so friendly and responsive. The property is beautiful and the directions the hosts gave really helped us navigate. The weather changed our plans a bit and the hosts checked in to be sure we were okay. If I had one complaint, it would be there was a bit of dust, but that’s it. It was such a wonderful stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Anniversary weekend

Truly enjoyed the thoughtful touches in the room. The view of the sky in early morning and full moon at night was great. Heard a wild turkey.
