“We had no problem with our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Service and food was excellent. The only drawback was the hotel has a generator, but during loadshedding all the plugs and lights are off. So during the evenings you only have a small light in the room. If you are an outdoor person, there are lots to do during the day. We will definitely go back if they do an upgrade on their generator.”

“Great guest house overlooking the golf course. Loved our stay and perfect hosts. Breakfast was amazing and the views from our room peaceful with a balcony looking over the golf course and towards the sea. ”

Breakfast was excellent. Shirley, the manager who runs this place, merits special mention. She helped us get our bags upstairs, served us our breakfast and always had a smile and a kind word. “Alabaster Box certainly is doing something right! Besides the home being immaculately kept, the service is top notch. Upon entering my room I was met with the most beautiful scent of sandalwood. A small fridge, and kettle were available for my snacks and tea. The shower was absolutely amazing, and much needed after a long car ride! The balcony even had views of the lagoon. There’s a serene koi pond in the back, and pool as well. Most of all, I felt safe as a solo female. May God bless this...
