Spent 5 days in town for a funeral. The room was pretty clean, but a couple things like the stained toilet bowl showed that it hadn't been deep cleaned recently. There were a dozen unpainted splotches of joint compound on the walls. The corner lamp had no light bulb.
Plus - the A/C worked well and kept us comfortable during the heat wave while we were there. There is a pool that would be attractive to families, but we did not use it. The mini fridge/freezer worked well. We didn't use the microwave.
Minus - no housekeeping whatsoever. When the towels got saturated and the garbage cans overflowed, it was up to us to track down someone to swap them out. No vacuuming or linen changes at all.
Overall - I would avoid if possible. It's over priced for the quality, but they can charge what they do because it's a small town with no chain options and not many alternatives.
Room was nice, and clean and quiet 😊
The man at check in was very nice and friendly and efficient
Breakfast was a little scant.
I I would stay here again if in the area
Thank You, have a Great day
Pet friendly was a plus. We brought our mini dachshund with us. 3 adults in a 2 queen bed room. Only 2 towels. We were staying 2 nights. When I asked for more the front desk gentleman seemed put out. He said they didnt have any and we are only allowed 1 towel per person. Which is fine, but then a room meant for 4 people still only had 2 towels. So we were still short a towel. He gave me an extra towel but stated he only had bleached ones. Again fine by me. It gets the job done. We just didnt want to share one towel for 2 people. The pool and hottub were ok. They didn't look very clean but we were able to use them both and other guests all seemed happy and polite. Noise level was minimal from the hall or guest passing by. The AC unit was kicking the cold air out but it would rattle so bad it was making horrible sounds. That woke us up through out the night. Bathroom vent fan didnt work, so a 10minute shower left the counter, mirror and floor drenched. Breakfast was not great, but they provided something. So while not be my cup of tea they do have bagels, packaged rice crispy treats and packaged honey buns. Coffee as well. That was it.
Location is perfect! It was overall a good stay. Quiet environment.
Parking was easy. The beds were comfy and there were extra pillows and blankets in the room. The TV with Roku/Netflix/Disney Plus options were also convenient!

It is a rustic type location and fit the bill. The key is clean and super staff.
A very nice place to stay if you need to go to Mio
The hotel is awesome and just a few hundred feet from the river. We visited in late December 2024 so we didn't get a chance to actually go down to the river, but there are other places to get to the river then from the hotel.
First off there are signs everywhere stating that you will be charged a $250 cleaning fee if your room smells like smoke. The whole hotel smells like stale smoke. Especially in the rooms. We literally were watched and listened too. Had our lock on the keyed door changed while we were out at a funeral. Came back to a lock that our key no longer fit in. And neither did the master key. The attendant had to call the owner which told him where to find a key to get us into our room. We were pissed. They refunded our money and we left. Luckily we were able to go down the road to a way better hotel! Stay at the Mio Motel!! It's way better. Cleaner, friendlier, and they beds are super comfy.
