"wir hatten 2 Nächte gebucht mussten aber wegen Krankheit eine stornieren lassen. Dass kostete uns trotz Zeiteinhaltung dann noch 20€.-Aber egal! Das zimmer war sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Bad geräumig, in neu renoviertem Zustand. .Alter solider Bau und daher ohne NEBEN-Geräusche. Das einzige ist für längeren Aufenthalt, dass es nur sehr wenig Tagesliccht rein lässt. Der See mit Badestrand(öffentlich) ist ca. 100m Fussweg. Wir werden wieder hinfahren für kurze Aufenthalte."

"The hotel is absolutely beautiful & well maintained in every detail. Kudos to the gardening staff for the magnificent surroundings bathed in the scent of jasmine. Spa experience (massage & facial) was excellent. My lake view superior room was lovely, clean. I’d think twice before staying here again for 1 reason: the sub-standard food. We dined at Il Borromeo 3 times & none of our dishes were hot nor prepared as ordered. They came out of the kitchen too quickly after ordering so we gathered they were pre-made. One night we ordered Wagyu steaks, medium rare. They were thin cut, served COLD & medium well; vegetables & sauce also stone cold. Sent them back & received well done meat. Sent that back & ordered the tagliata steaks, medium rare …got medium. The cacio e pepe was lukewarm, veal without flavor. The carbonara was also lukewarm & sticky rather than creamy. Bread was hard & lacked flavor. As for the breakfast served in Il Borromeo all the various croissants were dry (so disappointing). The lone bright spot for dining is Le Bistrot — the poolside snack bar! Great food there. Other small things need work: water bottles not replaced during our 4 day stay, no mint at turndown is odd for a 5-star, CNN not working even though we reported it twice. At check in Reception did not have a record of my pre-booked spa appointment & said *I* should call the spa to confirm. (Umm, no, that’s your job, Sir.) Restaurant staff more concerned about breaking down tables than serving guests."

"This hotels gets the big things but fail on the small. Grand hotel, great beach, beautiful rooms, great breakfast, but as others note, you pay 25 to park for a day, in fact more if you use the car because payment is per hours capped at 25. We asked for iron. No. Not possible. Leave with staff and they will iron, I guess tomorrow.. and do on."

"wir möchten uns herzlich für die wunderschönen Tage in Ihrem Ferienhaus bedanken. Schon beim Empfang haben wir uns durch Ihre freundliche und herzliche Art sofort willkommen gefühlt. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen - von der modernen Küche bis zu den gemütlichen Betten war alles da, was man braucht. Besonders hilfreich war auch der von Anna perfekt zusammengestellte Infoordner mit allen Tipps zu Restaurants, Ausflügen und dem Haus selbst. Man merkt, mit wie viel Liebe zum Detail hier alles vorbereitet wurde. Ein besonderes Dankeschön auch für Ihre Erreichbarkeit und die tollen persönlichen Empfehlungen. "Great host and neighbors! Cozy home with many things for the baby and kids. Very convenient location! We came in late fall when the weather wasn’t as predictable but we were able to see gorgeous views - both of the Lake and Mountains. We loved Zermatt, Stresa, Our Lady of the Rock in Locarno, and a boat ride to the Borromeo Islands. Parking in the garage was quite difficult for us Americans but there is street parking available. "

"Wonderful well maintained garden and pool. Also fun to have a games room with darts, football table and table tennis. Beautiful area with lots to do but need a car to get to places including the lake. Also easy to visit Milan by train. Property is small but functional and as described. Some new but also some dated furnishings. There is no washing machine but can do washing at a laundrette nearby for E5.00. TV is small and located on the wall in the bedroom. Hosts and support staff were brilliant with great communication and very responsive. "
