The outside of the hotel was a bit unappealing and dated but the room and service were outstanding. The room was clean, well cared for, and excellent value. I definitely will stay there again when in town visiting family.

I have stayed here a couple of times. It is a nice, no frills motel with clean floors, clean bathroom, and friendly and helpful staff.

If you need a quick place to stay then this works. The showers don't get hot, lukewarm at best. I don't know if they are doing renovations to the lobby as it was inaccessible when we stayed. You have to do everything through the night window. It is close to MCAS Cherry Point which made getting to and from the base very easy. About a 30 minute drive to the beach.

The room was half clean. Most of the effort was put into the bathroom. But the main interior of the room had dusty surface tops with food stains, the floors were unswept and there was alcohol left in the fridge. You get what you pay for.

We chose this hotel for a quick stop while house hunting. It is no frills but the manager was nice and the room was clean. We both slept well because the bed was comfortable and the hot shower was great. We didn't experience any problems during our stay.

Very clean, nice comfortable beds and room. Quiet. The owners are diligent and prompt to accommodate where needed. 25 minutes from New Bern's very high hotel prices, but worth the 70% savings.

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend with our two children. It was quiet, and pretty clean. You could tell they are still in the process of making improvements to the place. But for the price we paid, it was better than expected. We also really only needed a place to shower and sleep the rest of the time we were on the beach or at the park across the street. It was a nice little weekend getaway.

For $95/night, I expected a clean, basic room, and that is exactly what I got. My room was dated but spotless, and the folks at the desk were extremely pleasant and polite. The AC worked perfectly, and the TV had a pretty decent selection. A pleasant surprise was that although some folks were horsing around a little loudly, when I went to bed it stopped and stayed quiet. Only real comment I would make is that apparently the lobby is closed, and all business has to be done through the night window. No real problem, but I had other people gathered around me while I was trying to go through my wallet, Overall, it was a good experience, and if I go back to Havelock, I'll likely go back.
