Chalet Chouette is a very well-proportioned chalet, set out over three floors. The chalet was built by local artisans, and exudes a traditional alpine charm. On the middle floor of Chalet Chouette is a lovely open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The well-equipped kitchen has plenty of workspace and cupboards, with everything you could possibly need for a week away. The living room has comfy sofas and a wonderful wood burning stove, to relax around after a long day on the mountain. The living floor is light and airy, and has patio doors which open up onto a covered outside dining area, and the south facing balcony, which wraps right around the chalet. There is a library of books for all to enjoy. Also on this floor is a bedroom and separate bathroom and WC. On the top floor are the further three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms share a “Jack and Jill” style shower room, making them ideal for families. These bedrooms can either be set up as twins or doubles, depending on your requirements. The master bedroom on this level is large and sunny, with built in wardrobes and doors leading onto a private balcony with stunning mountain views. It also boasts an ensuite with bath, sink, WC and heated towel radiator. Please note that it is also possible to sleep a further two guests on a sofa bed in the living area. On the ground floor of the chalet is the entrance hall, with more storage, a washing machine and tumble dryer, and also access to the large garage for storing skis, snowboards and bikes. Chalet Chouette has a stunning sizable garden to the rear, which is very secluded, offering a large lawn, BBQ and south facing views. It was nice to have spices etc already at the Chalet. We did not have a car but it was doable to go shopping in the village, also the restaurants were only 8 minutes away. The house is well equipped with fire place, good kitchen and library. As an owl lover, I could not get over the many owly things that were there, absolutely loved the atmosphere and quiet location of the house. The ski lift was only a short walk away and we were lucky that it started snowing on the day of our arrival, so we enjoyed the best week with excellent skiing conditions and sunshine. We waren met ons gezin van 7 en ruimte genoeg. Heerlijk zonnig terras en een complete keuken met van alles meer dan voldoende. Heerlijke koffie met de bonenmachine. Naar de skilift is het eerder 10 dan 5 minuten lopen op gewone schoenen. Op skischoenen vonden wij het te ver. Maar er is een skibus en wij hadden onze auto. Boven waren de bedden fijn. Het spiralenmatras beneden had kuilen en is misschien aan vernieuwing toe. Fijn dat er sleden en een wandelwagen aanwezig was. Wij hadden een heerlijke week in dit zonnige huis en raden het ten zeerste aan.
