We had a wonderful time at the motel. Great views from the room. From the reception and visitor information staff and the house cleaning team all amazing.
This place exceeded my expectations! I initially thought it would be more like a lodge or motel, but it turned out to be beautifully luxurious and incredibly cozy. The bed is very comfortable, and the room is spacious and well-appointed. The staff are generally friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The only slight downside is that the view isn’t particularly impressive, but everything else more than makes up for it. Highly recommended! 🌟
Great property with amazing views inside the room and all around the property!! It's located in such a peaceful area. Looking forward to visiting again.
There was only one dinner option the first night - $85 pp buffet. It was nice, but more than I’d have liked to spend. From Wednesday to Sunday there’s another cheaper option at the lodge which served really great pizza and burgers.
Super convenient for all that the national park has to offer. You just need to be aware of the food situation and be organised.
World class hotel facilities in a beautiful, remote location. I definitely feel I got my money’s worth for the comfort and services offered at this spotless, spacious hotel in the middle of a National Park.
Very quiet considering the number of rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Small, but enough space. Comfy bed. Heated tiles in bathroom were so lovely after a long day hiking in the snow.
The laundry was a reasonable walk and a little hard to find, even with directions. Limited food options especially Monday and Tuesday nights, so be organised or prepared to pay $$$ for dinner at the Hermitage. It was good food but expensive. Dinner at the Chamois onsite was good food and reasonable priced, but only open Wednesday to Sunday.
I really like this place because it's cozy, clean, and well-maintained. The facilities are great, offering everything I need. It feels comfortable and easy to settle into, whether for work or relaxation.
We stayed for 2 nights. Very clean and modern room. Great shower and comfortable room. Loved being in the park for convenience to hiking. We weren’t thrilled with the pub or buffet though and there are very limited dining options in the park. We knew that going in, but probably wouldn’t stay here again for only that reason.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms seem updated and clean, and had great views (the front rooms have a better view of the mountains of course). Also the on site restaurant was perfect for dinner.
We found the Mount Cook Lodge & Motel to be very unique, in that the units were like small apartments. They had a kitchen, and besides a queen bed in the main room with a pullout sofa and a table, there was a separate bedroom with two twin beds. The bathroom had a heater, which was nice for cold mornings.
Everything is close together, so even if you go do activities in the Hermitage, it's nice to come back to the Mount Cook Lodge where it's a little quieter and there are a fewer tourists.
