"We enjoyed our stay. Lovely surroundings. I have to admit I didn’t realize that it was an infirmary. The twin beds were firm (not much padding) for those that like softer beds. Overall a good experience."

"Loved that it’s secluded and very roomy for a couple of families. The lodge was very nicely decorated for Christmas and welcoming for our toddler. The area of Hot Springs and Warm Springs was very festive and a nice area. Would definitely stay at the property again if we return to the area."

"The house was lovely and so comfortable. We loved the charm of the property and the updated kitchen. The location was great for access to the Homestead and the local restaurants. It was nice that the bathrooms were not inside any bedrooms so accessible to all. I would definitely stay at the Manse again if I go back."

The cabin was perfect in every way, from the cozy swing outside to the heart-shaped jacuzzi tub inside. Peaceful, serene, and just what we were hoping for. "We booked for a sibling birthday retreat- traveling from Texas, NC and Va. The house was quaint, comfortable ( chairs on porch not so much- would have liked rocking chairs as advertised as the weather was perfect for spending time there). A few electrical glitches typical for older homes-plugs in guesthouse were wonky and couldn’t seem to get enough light. The plantings and yard were great sitting on the rocks by the stream watching hummingbirds feed was particularly restful. I’d certainly spend time there again. "

"House is charming but old. Five star outstanding features include sleeping porches, a lovely yard and surroundings, and, of course, the magical warm mineral "dipping" creek in the back yard, which are alone worth the stay. I would strongly recommend that owners find a way to install a full sized refrigerator near the kitchen, as the dormitory sized one on the floor, and the full sized one in the basement (which you have to go outside to reach) is quite inconvenient. There are a lot of stairs. Also, guests should be aware that the house is only a few feet from the road, although there is very little traffic. A unique and beautiful property - recommend it for adults only."
