Nice resort close to the National Park.
If you are looking for a traditional Thai-style resort, then this is probably not for you. Although the staff are Thai and are very nice, the resort has a very Mediterranean feel about it. If you were brought here blindfolded, you couldn't be blamed for thinking you've just arrived in Italy! In saying that, we found the resort very pleasing and in a great location, close to the Khao Yai National Park, about a 30 minute drive further up the mountain. The resort is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Our room was standard for this type of resort and was clean and tidy. The buffet breakfast was good, although I find most of the resorts and hotels are pretty much the same in this department. The food is all pretty similar and does the job. I'm yet to find a resort that has 'bad' food. But I'm easily pleased - as long as I don't have to cook it and clean up afterwards, I'm happy!! The resort is right next door to Palio which is a nice little Italian-style village with shops, cafes, restaurants and a hotel. Photo opportunites are a plenty. And as is typical for Thailand, there's a 7-Eleven store within a few minutes walk of the resort. In fact there's a 7-Eleven store within a few minutes walk of anything in Thailand. It's like 7-Eleven opened up their own country!! Overall, the resort was very good and we were happy with our stay here. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!!
