Bavarian charm fills the beer gardens where locals clink steins beneath chestnut trees in the English Garden. Wander through Marienplatz to watch the famous Glockenspiel perform, then climb Peterskirche's tower for the best views of red-tiled roofs.
The hotel was in Old Town Munich. Excellent restaurants steps away. The breakfast was amazing. Loved the bedding and how clean the room was. Absolutely a great choice to stay.

Great Hotel! Amazing staff as they responded to all request quickly. They even help me find a nail salon close by. VIP room upgrade was amazing! Very clean hotel, amazing gym considering the area. Very quiet, close by all shopping and dining in Marienplatz.

Having just arrived from a terrible hotel experience in Paris as part of an extended vacation, checking in to Hotel Metropol was a breath of fresh air. All of the staff was friendly, hospitable, and very helpful but the gentlemen who works the front desk in the afternoon was exceptional!! He provided me with local recommendations of where to go and a map of how to get there, clear and useful instructions for how the hotel works, and his energy and spirit were just so welcoming. Hotel was in fabulous location just off Marienplatz. It was cute, had little pastries on check in. The breakfast was good and had a nice breakfast room. Perfect base to explore central Munich and super close to U and S bahn stop. Sad I only stayed one night. Would definitely stay longer in the future.

Hotel is centrally located to most everything in downtown Munich. The staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very good. The only complaint is that some rooms will require one to lift suitcases up steps. Will stay here again.

Great hotel, rooms so nice. Roof top bar was great and view was unbelievable. Service outstanding, didn’t hesitate to hold our bags or accommodate early check-in for tired travelers. We are a family with 3 kids and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Very walkable area.

We were unfamiliar with the Westend area, but really liked the neighborhood of this hotel. We chose this hotel because of the area, price and Trip Advisor reviews. We had no complaints with this hotel (other than the fact that it does not have air conditioning, which might be a factor in warmer weather). That being said, we also didn't think there was anything particularly outstanding about the hotel that would separate it from other hotels. But the staff was very helpful and accommodating and...

Simply perfect. I'm gonna say best value for any hotel. Love the room design themed on a painter. Everything was brand new, super clean and 100% working. Front desk people are funny and delightful.
The location is great if you want to explore the old town. The direct neighborhood around the station is a little funky but it's diverse and fun.

We stayed with our adult children at the Hotel Obermaier during Octoberfest. It was all that we had hoped for. It is a traditional hotel with a good restaurant attached. It is convenient by Metro to downtown Munich. It is much more reasonably priced than closer-in hotels. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Obermaier if we are fortunate enough to return to Munich, particularly during Octoberfest.

Very nice place to stay in Munich. Centrally located for public transportation and in a safe area. The highlight is the breakfast spread — make sure you take advantage of what they offer for a good start to your day. Wonderful people taking care of you, especially Avni. He and his co-workers are the best and want to see that you are happy with everything. No need to go anywhere else for breakfast!

I booked close to the train station and this was a very easy walk (0.2 miles). I wanted to add another night and couldn't through expedia without having to change rooms. Since they let me check in early, they were able to juggle other guest accommodations so I could keep my same room for the second night. I paid the hotel direct, which was actually cheaper than expedia and included breakfast (which was quite nice). Five Stars for service and facility.
