This was our second visit to Hatherley Manor and they maintained a consistently high standard of service on both occasions. One of the nicest hotel experiences we’ve had."

"The room was comfortable and generally well maintained, but unfortunately the cleanliness of the in-room amenities was disappointing. The coffee mugs were not properly cleaned, and the electric kettle had significant limescale buildup, which came out every time we tried to heat water. We requested a replacement kettle at night, and while it was slightly better, it still had similar limescale issues. For a brand like DoubleTree, we were expecting a higher standard of attention to detail. Overall the stay was okay, but better maintenance and cleaning of basic room facilities would greatly improve the guest experience."

"Had booked a cosy room, very compact. Iron had a crack in I, so when I went to use it, the water leaked all over my clothes. Staff great, but room a bit tired underneath the surface; if you’re a light sleeper be aware you can hear anything & everything from the neighbouring rooms"

"The recently refurbished (I understand) room was a generous size, and bed was enormous and comfortable. The view over the square was great, but this meant a few noise issues from passers by at kicking out time. The walk in shower was clean but lack of shelving for shower gel and shampoo seemed like an oversight. "

"The hotel was lovely but the swimming pool was small and there were children splashing around the who time so not very relaxing. The waitresses for the meals are not very efficient. We had to wait a long time for our order to be taken. At breakfast, the food was not replenished and it was difficult to find someone to take orders from the kitchen."
