So we called reception and their super sweet and helpful staff member came out atn10pm to find us another room. Which was super nice, quiet and no smells! We like to thank you guys again for being so extra helpful and attentive. Staff were excellent. Suggest that someone may it a regular thing to give the tv remotes a clean. If the one in our room was anything to go by, they are quite dirty. Proximity to cbd excellent. One concern was a lack of car parks. I know there was access to a car park across the road, but my car is special to me and I wouldn’t want to rely on that. Light switches are way lower than normal height, can't find them without torch when waking up in the middle of the night, . Parking is inconvenient - only 9 parking space at hotel so had to park elsewhere and got up before 8am so we could pay parking for the day. Hard bed and hard pillows. Blackout curtains aren't wide enough to cover the side of the windows. Woken up by someone using spa bath at 7am. However there were some down sides: the bathroom shower head was quite caked with limescale - which did not inspire confidence that the rest of the rooms were also clean. The extractor unit in the bathroom could not be turned off and was generating a low thrum all night. Also the hotel has no laundry facilities, so if you need to do any washing you have to take your laundry three blocks to wash them at the nearest laundromat.
