A great city hotel..

The hotel is okay and centrally located, which is a big plus. However, I’m not sure I would consider it a true four-star hotel. It could really use an upgrade, and the cleanliness left something to be desired. Overall, it’s fine – but there’s definitely room for improvement

Great stay but taxi strike wasn’t my fault

The people at the front counter were awesome. Friendly explained the shopping and food places for the type I asked. The breakfast was high quality food and clean. Overall the stay was a 9. Could have been a 10 if the day I checked in. I couldn’t reach the hotel on my checkin date due to the taxi strike for 24 hours. The next day I checked in and they had my checkin available and the lady cared less about a refund due to the taxi strike. They she tol me the checkout date was Saturday not Sunday. My reservation copy showed Sunday June 1, 2025. I had to call hotel.com and they sent me the confirmation email and I showed the lady again. Told me know and she checked in the computer and some other paper behind the desk. Finally kept showing the email she said checkout June 1. You can see my frustration and my wife and I both in the late 70’s. The taxi strike for 24 hours we didn’t no about until we left the airport, I feel I should not have been charged the night I couldn’t get there.

This hotel is far from a 4-star hotel rating, except for room pricing. I stayed 3 nights in the hotel. There was no pot to boil water for tea, and the shower gel bottle was empty. My accommodation rating is 2 stars, max. Their primary business is a dorm room for the nearby University. Their service matches the dormitory level. All hotel staff treat every guest as a student with dry smiles and very minimal responses to questions or requests. Some reviews said the hotel is in an ideal location for sightseeing, but it depends on what you want to see. I should have researched the hotel more before booking.

Meh.

If you can’t find anything else, then this is fine. The rooms are nice and clean. There is NO bar. Although it say so, the other reviews are correct. There are non. It’s just the breakfast room where you can buy a drink - no menu card. No nothing. The breakfast was horrible. Don’t buy. The service was fine. We did get to check in early which was great. But don’t expect anyone to go up and beyond. Cleaning staff walks in to you room, even if you are naked.
