The hotel is old but beautiful. The floors creak when you walk which adds to the charm. Our only complaint is that there was never any staff available. Checking in took forever because no one was attending the front desk. Every time we went to the front desk, no one was there. Also, every time we called someone, we had to leave a message for a return call. I know they are probably under staffed but it’s not cheap to stay here and it’s frustrating trying to find help.

Overall a good stay. Spacious room. Tight aw it is in the university area, but we found street parking. Alarm went off in the middle of the night. Fire department came. No staff on site so a little challenging. No follow up to apologize for guests having to leave rooms at 2am and wait outside to see what was going on. Things happen. Communication would have been good.

The room included a pull out bed but there were no bed covers for it and also on the side of it - it appeared to have bugs. The website states it is self check-in but there was a staff member there. However she sat at a lectern so I wasn’t sure if she worked there or not. The parking was the most frustrating part. That is probably the busiest street so we circled about 9 times for almost an hour. Finally when we got street parking and went inside - apparently there was a QR code to go to an off site parking lot. It’s across the train tracks and no street lights around so it’s very dark. We didn’t get a notification about parking until the day after as we already left the next day. Overall it was probably the worst stay and definitely not worth the price. I will not be staying here again.

The Lodge was very clean and cozy. My husband and I came in for an endurance event and arrived late but was still easy to check in and get settled. Coffee, water and snacks were provided for us. I loved sitting out on the top front porch once the temps started to cool. It was also nice when a few other guests checked in for the weekend.
