The villa is all on one floor in the following ways. From the entrance you enter the living room with kitchen (wide) open fully equipped and exit to rear area of ​​the villa where the barbecue.
From the living room leads to the master bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and bedside table, and the two twin bedrooms with wardrobes and bedside table each. The villa has two bathrooms, one with another bath with shower.
This villa has a privileged position on a hill from where you can enjoy magnificent mountain views from all areas. At the front of the house is the pool with slide, sunbeds, jacuzzi and table tennis. in the rear is the barbecue area covered built and decorated with wooden beams and wooden tables and chairs to enjoy meals al fresco with magnificent views.

Hidden Gem
Hidden in the mountains but only 10 mins from Nerja this place is amazing. We have been before and will definitely be going back. Highly recommend if your looking for a secluded villa with everything you could need to keep the family happy for the week.

Perfect Holiday Home
The property is lovely. It was spotless and clearly very well taken care of and loved by the owners. It has literally every you could want in terms of basic needs such as utensils etc... and it also has plenty to offer in terms of entertainment with the table tennis and pool table. The pool was great, warm water and a pleasure to take a dip in on hot days. The pool is quite deep with no real shallow end, so something to be mindful of if you have small children. As many of the reviews say, the road up to the house can seem a little extreme and the final bit up to the gate can be daunting at first, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. It is certainly not something that should put you off this amazing home. The owners were attentive and reacted quickly to questions. Overall, a superb place to stay and we'd no reservations about staying here again.

Lovely rural getaway
The property is in the hills around Nerja so an SUV is useful to access the property. Carmen is a great host who met us at the nearby petrol station to escort us to the property on the first day. The property was immaculately clean and the pool table and table tennis table were in good condition. The pool was thoroughly enjoyable, despite the weather being chillier. Our only issue was with the hot tub which is not heated and is just a spa tub - this was a surprise as on a search on VRBO it listed it as a hot tub - not the property owners fault.

What a find!
Just back from a fantastic week at Carmen's beautiful property! The location was absolutely perfect for us - only 10 mins away from Nerja and everything this lovely town has to offer, but in a very scenic and peaceful location. The property itself is very comfortable indeed and immaculately clean. We were looking for a relaxing week and spent much of the time at the cottage - played lots of pool and made great use of the pool and slide - loved by kids and adults alike! The outside area is stunning - incredible views and plenty of space. We also made good use of the BBQ and lovely eating areas at both the front and back of the property. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area and only a short drive away which suited us perfectly and allowed us to balance exploring and sightseeing, with lots of down time at the property. We visited Frigliana a couple of times for lovely lunches, explored the coastline and the town of Nerja. The visit to the caves was a must and not to be missed. Carmen was very helpful in the run up to our arrival and we were super grateful that she and her husband met us just off the A7 and led us to the cottage. It would have been really tricky in the dark the first time and that was much appreciated. We picked up a few essential groceries at the meeting point which had a garage and a mini market, but Carmen had left a wonderful basket with fruit, water, milk, bread etc which was more than enough to get you going. Thank you so much Carmen for your very warm welcome and sharing your home. We hope to be back very soon and can't imagine staying anywhere else when we come back to Nerja!

Lovely villa
As with the other reviews, the first journey to the villa is an experience but, once there the views are beautiful and a perfect villa for a friends get together. It provides everything you need and the BBQ and pool area is a great space. Carmen is a lovely host and the fruit basket is a nice touch, I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Beautiful secluded villa hidden in the mountains but less then 10 mins from Nerja. Amazing accommodation with everything you need. The host Carmen was wonderful and we will definitely be back.

Excellent Villa in a beautiful location
We travelled as a family of 2 adults, 2 14yo and a 9yo. The spotless and well presented villa has everything, ping pong, pool table, jacuzzi, water slide into the pool. Couldn’t have asked for more, and they certainly never got bored. Nerja town is a 10 min drive away. Yes the pot holed road from town to the villa is tricky at first but you soon get used to it. Carmen was always contactable and engaging. Would definitely return and recommend. Wonderful stay.

Great holiday home and views
We had a lovely week in this villa. There were initially issues as we had to translate communication with the owner from Spanish to English but once we’d got to grips with Google translate this got easier. Carmen met us as promised at a services and we followed her to the villa along a very lengthy poor road with huge potholes and a 1 in 3 incline to the property which was a bit tricky and not great for the cars. Carmen was welcoming and provided a fabulous bowl of fruit. Once there we spent a lot of time at the villa playing table tennis, pool and swimming in the lovely deep pool (maybe not ideal for small children but great for us). There was misunderstanding at the end as there were no clear instructions in English (as there was in a 2nd villa we went to for week 2) that there is no bin collecting in Spain and no clear instructions where to dispose of our rubbish. I think the instructions could be clearer around this to avoid misunderstandings for other guests. Also a reminder to put things like bread in the microwave or other sealed place as we had items in sellophane wrapping on the worktop which ended up being covered in ants. I think that’s common in this type of climate though. Apart from that we loved our stay in this lovely villa.

Beautiful Cortijo
Very private, beautiful and peaceful Cortijo with every detail thought of. Excellent hosts with good communication. You soon get used to the road in and the way, which appears tricky but it’s not really.

Away from it all
A very spacious and well appointed holiday home with stunning views and vistas. The accommodation is excellent with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. The outside area is extensive with pool, jacuzzi, pool table and ping pong. However the drive up to the house is not for the faint hearted with some poor roads and several very steep drives, Our hire car coped but we grounded it when fully loaded with 4 adults and luggage. Be aware! Apart from that, despite it being very hilly, it is a very nice place if you want peace and tranquillity. Yes we would go again but hire a SUV next time.

Beautiful villa fully meeting the description and photos. Only issue was mosquitos so take plenty of repellent. Peaceful and secluded - you need a car, very hilly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back.

All you need for a relaxing holiday
We (a family of three) had a great time at the villa, it had everything we needed. Quiet, out of the main holiday resorts, but close enough to all amenities. My daughter loved the pool and slide and we spent most of our holiday at the villa because of it! Would definitely consider staying at the villa again should we decide to return to Nerja. Communication with Carmen was excellent and we had no issues in meeting/organising our arrival and departure.

Our 2 lovely weeks at Cortijo de Carmen
Carmen and her husband met us as promised and we followed them to the villa. This was great as it would have been quite difficult to find. Once there we were very happy as the villa was spotless and the facilities were just as described on the website. Five days into our stay, my son and his wife, who live in South Korea, turned up at the villa. This was a fantastic surprise for us as it was totally unexpected. We messaged Carmen who said that was a great surprise and immediately came round with more towels for us all. The location of the villa is up a fairly steep slope, which you do get used to. There are wonderful mountain views but it does overlook the A7 motorway. This is not a big problem as you can hardly hear the traffic a hundred yards below. There’s a good Poole Table and Table Tennis which we made good use of. The swimming pool is great with a lovely slide into pool for those more ambitious. Inside the villa is everything you could need with air conditioning in all the rooms. We had a great stay and were made to feel very welcome.

Beautiful and well equipped house in rural environment
We enjoyed our stay for a week in april/may '19 at Cortijo de Carmen. The house was clean, wel equipped and the weather was great...that helps when you celebrate your vacation with a great patio, lovely pool, pool table and table tennis table. The road to the house is bumpy and steep, but you get used to it after a couple of times. City's as Nerja, Torrox and Frigilana are 5 minutes away from the main road (10 min drive from the house) and Malaga is at approximately 45 minutes. If we go to Andalusia ones more, we certainly reconsider another stay at Cortijo de Carmen.

Fantastic views
A beautiful property with wonderful outside space. Very clean inside and out. We spent 2 weeks in December here. We were met at the local Cepsa off of the A7, junction 292. It was a 10 minute drive to the property which is halfway up a hill overlooking the A7. The views were outstanding and we took some amazing photos. We were expecting to not be able to use the pool as it isn't heated. But we were looking forward to using the outdoor hot tub. My mistake, it's a jacuzzi that is of air temperature. But the bath with jets in the house was nice with plenty of hot water. Carmen was good with communication and there was a basket of fruit to welcome us. We had an amazing holiday at this wonderful property. Thank you Carmen.

A beautiful house with excellent facilities and a great outdoor area
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is well equipped especially the kitchen area. The outdoor area is great. The pool and outdoor cooking area is especially good. There was a storm during our stay and the power went off. Carmen and her husband came round to try and solve the issue even though it was late at night. Carmen kept us informed with her communication with the electricity company and that was really helpful. We would definitely consider staying here again.

The property is in a great location. Fantastic mountain views, but only a 10-15 minute drive to some beautiful beaches. Nerja is lovely old town with plenty of bars and restaurants. Almunecar is also worth a visit and wherever you order a drink you will have free tapas brought to you. Plenty of supermarkets to choose from. Lidl just a short drive and the shop at the service station is 24hrs. We were grateful Carmen and her husband met us at the service station as I don't think I would believe my sat nav was taking us on the correct route to the villa.Carmen and her husband were very hospitable and available should there be any problems. The villa itself was fantastic,especially the outside area. The pool was a decent size and my four year old loved the slide. The pool table and separate seating area was ideal for the boys, and we used it a lot in the evening with a few drinks! Wifi worked well and the whirlpool was an added bonus. The villa was clean, beds comfortable, bath and outdoor towels supplied,Good cooking facilities and utensils, washing machine iron/board. We have stayed in larger modern villa's,but this was really homely and had something to suit everyone. It was gated, private and safe for our 4yr old escape artist. I would definitely recommend this villa for all ages. My only recommendation which is not a criticism is that a few plastic plates/glasses would be safer to use by the pool area with children. A wonderful holiday. Thank you. We will return!

just returned from a weeks stay at casa del Carmen, the property was fantastic, clean and well looked after, our 5 year old granddaughter lived in the pool. we were lucky with the weather and had 28 degrees most days, the short drive into Nerja was very easy giving access to many beaches and ideal for night time eating with endless places to eat, we also had unbeknown to us before arrival a week long fiesta taking place in Nerja. Carmen the property owner was very friendly and helpful. we are definitely planning on a return visit next year

Paradijsje met uitzicht op de bergen
We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Cortijo de Carmen. Het is nog mooier dan op de foto’s. We kwamen ‘s avonds laat aan en er stond een mooi fruit/ontbijt pakket klaar zodat we niet meteen boodschappen hoefde te doen. Ook hebben we genoten van de pooltafel en tafeltennistafel. Rondom het huis was een groot terras met diverse zitjes.De bar voor de koffie met uitzicht op de bergen, de ligstoelen bij het zwembad, de tafel voor het ontbijt in het zonnetje en een eettafel bij de buitenkeuken. Binnen in het huis was het heel compleet en sfeervol ingericht. En ook de keuken was meer dan compleet uitgerust. Helaas hadden we maar voor een weekje geboekt, we wilden er nog wat langer van genieten!

Séjour inoubliable
Couple de trentenaire avec deux enfants pour les vacances d’avril. Maison et extérieur magnifique. Propreté irréprochable, tout le nécessaire à disposition. Nous avons passé une semaine magique. La piscine, les jeux de billard, de ping-pong, les espaces repas et détente, la vue… Tout était parfait ! Un grand merci encore pour la gentille attention à notre arrivée : une belle corbeille bien garnie de fruits, de gâteau, café thé, etc. Communication fluide et réactive. La route d’accès peut faire un peu peur au début, on s’y fait vite et ça vaut tellement le coup ! Un petit bémol pour le jacuzzi non chauffé. Nous recommandons grandement !
