“A welcoming, rural retreat! Horsecroft is a real home from home where the hosts go above and beyond to provide every comfort. Spacious, comfortable accommodation with stunning views, only a few minutes away from glorious Hay on Wye.Really loved staying here. Thank you Nicky and Tim.”

“It was a nice lodge”

“I stayed in the Hayloft. My hosts could not have been more charming. The Hayloft was beautifully furnished and much care had gone into it. The one thing that I think let it down was the quality of the beds - 4 singles - the mattress lacked support and you could actually feel the springs in it. I think a mattress upgrade would match the high quality bedding that is provided. The only other thing was that the fridge was switched off and open when I arrived. Maybe this is the way it is done in……

“The property was excellent, 3 good size bedrooms for a change. Although very isolated, up a very narrow track but it was worth it. I would come back again for the week with the dogs to just chill out and enjoy the peace and quiet, and the bleating sheep.”

“Superb accommodation. Highly recommend. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, gorgeous soft furnishings, well equipped kitchen, warm and cosy, good WiFi. Perfect for two. Good communication and warm welcome from host. Perfectly situated to explore this beautiful part of Herefordshire. Would definitely stay again. ”

“We loved it despite me having a chest infection followed by rotten cold!Peaceful, spotless, comfortable, everything we needed.Didn’t find a key for back door but it didn’t matter as we did loading that way then locked from inside and used front which I managed okay with my crutches. We enjoyed the fact that no live tv channels as we explored streaming with good effect. Not to be missed, Red Kite Feeding,Hay on Wye book shops and castlesMany wonderful walks I unfortunately can no longer……

“This has been our second stay at this location, although this time we stayed at Highland view. the reason we came back is because of the large fenced garden area with wire mesh so the dog can be let loose without a worry. Bed was very comfy with clever storage underneath, hot tub was perfect, and the caravan seems new and well kept. Excellent views as well and we will definitely come again! A couple of suggestions that can improve the visitor experience: The smoke alarm went off too easily, we……

“We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed our time at the kingfisher Shepherds hut. If your looking to stay please bare in mind that the hut is very small, there is very limited kitchen supplies, ie no oven, microwave or decent sized freezer. Unfortunately lots of flys got into our hut which we had to sleep with as we had no repellent and no nets were provided. It is a bit of a faff having to heat your own hot tub and sauna, building the fire and keeping it alight for atleast 2hrs is hard work……

“Comfortable and well situated for a short stay. Clean and tidy and fresh milk in the fridge - thanks.”

“Firstly, the site is lovely, close to Elan Valley and the accommodation position of Foxes View was great as it’s at the end of the row of hobbit holes. We were without a fire pit when we arrived but owner very quickly put one out for us. The accommodation size is great. It does look run down in places though, flooring has some nicks in it etc. The kitchen was fine although the fridge wasn’t very cold. Hot water in sinks etc perfect but shower tepid. Hot tub was lovely and clean but only some……
