It’s truly a shame that the service at this hotel continues to be a miss. I was hopeful after being acquired by Arlo, that some things would improve. From the minute we arrived, no one to helped us with our bags. Hotel staff is rude to guests. Asked for a quiet room, and they placed us in a room closest to their rooftop party. Pool and Sungold menu are terrible. The elevators are still as low as ever. Room service did not even come to service our room! If you’re looking for parties, a pool with a scene and do not care about poor service, this is your best bet. Honestly, the only silver lining here is that they throw a good party on their rooftop. If you’re looking for a better experience, spend a little more and stay at the William vale instead.

Unsurprisingly, room is pretty cramped. Closet isn't even deep enough to fit suits edgewise, only flat facing the door. And duffle bags don't fit either, had to store under the bed. That said, staff and service were great and the boutique feel is nice. Rooftop pool is a nice perk.

Pros: walkable to restaurants, subway and area amenities; beautiful view of the NY skyline from the rooftop deck; hip vibe; good security; welcoming. Cons: small room; shower leaked all over the floor and had to call twice for extra towels to soak up the water; put in a maintenance request to fix the shower and no one ever showed up; our room wasn’t cleaned including dealing with the sopping wet towels on the bathroom floor; drinks on the rooftop deck were terribly overpriced. The hotel did agree, however, to waive the “urban fees” for our stay (approx. $45/night.)
